So, I've played a couple of games with the following army:


Annointed of Asuryan - HA, Halberd
Arch-Mage - lvl 4 (High), Book of Hoeth

Noble - BSB, DA, Halberd, Reaver Bow, Potion of Strength

30 Lothern Seaguard - LA, Sh, Spear, Bow, FC
5 Ellyrian Reavers - LA, Spear, M
6 Silver Helms - Barded Steed, HA, Sh, Lance, S

28 White Lions - HA, GW, LC, FC, Banner of the World Dragon
6 Dragon Princes - Barded Steed, DA, Sh, Lance, S
6 Shadow Warriors - Longbow

The Annointed and Arch-mage both go in the WLs. The Annointed supplies everyone with a nice 6+ Ward Save for my Arch-Mage to stack upon. I'm not sure I need the BotWD though since the unit commonly gets up to a 3/4+ ward ... the Annointed also supplies MR2 to the unit so magical spell damage is already covered. Everything else is basically there to support the WL deathstar.

So, suggestion, comments, whatever are welcome.

With the amount of regen monsters out there, replacing one bolt thrower with 5 Sisters makes sense. Better yet - replace the Shadow warriors with some Sisters.

Currently the Annointed does not seem worthwhile to me. More White Lions and an Archmage ward save is cheaper and better than his contributions, and his personal combat value is pretty slightl.

If those are your own changes based on your experience with what you need/want to play with then I say go with it. You know better than anyone else what works for you and what you think you will need to have an effective army. It looks reasonably solid to me as it stands, just remember that you might now be a bit lacking in magical defence as obviously lvl4 BoH trumps lvl2 BoH.
