Quest - Track down a white dwarf painting guide from 2010 - 2014

Hi All,

I am hoping some wise painter here might remember this article/book and be able to recover a lost paint guide for me

I have returned to Warhammer recently, excited about the Old World and eager to paint my black orcs.
When I was last playing before AoS I had started painting my black orcs based on a painting guide i found in a white dwarf issue some time between 2010 and 2014
The guide if I remember right was a conversion merging the new Orc Boar Boyz plastic kit with some black orc bits to make a Black Orc on Boar

The guide went through painting both the Boar and the rider, the rider being in plate armour they decided to paint the plates red and even show battle damage through the use of an Orange, scorched brown over that, and then a little silver in the centre - young me was very impressed and wanted to paint all my Black orcs in this cool armour.

With all that said, can anyone out there help me track down either the guide or the white dwarf magazine it was in???

Well let's see...looks like the boar boys plastic kit came out in May 22nd of 2010 and was shown off in WD365. That issue has a conversion for a black orc big boss in it too, with a in depth painting guide.

Yeah, if you've got warhammer+ it's all included in that too. It's fun to look through the white dwarfs that are posted. I've been looking for scenarios for old editions so my group would have different games to play other than the main ones in the BBB.

I haven't got Warhammer+, I don't spend enough time doing warhammer stuff to get it. But it's great to know it's there. And maybe if I need it for something, like indeed finding some cool old scenario's, then I can subscribe for a month or so
