The book in question is Tamurkhan by the late Alan Bligh, released in 2011 by Forge World and accompanied by a fascinating range of Chaos Dwarfs and other Chaos models. It's a very large tome, hardback of course with really nice paper and expensive. Essentially it's a campaign book tracing the rise and rampages of the eponymous lord of Chaos. The dark dwarfs feature markedly and the book includes a full bestiary and army list for the Legion of Azgorh. The artwork is so evocative that I was inspired to collect some models.SpellArcher wrote:Chaos Dwarfs! I’ve got the guts of an army and as I have the Magnum Opus of a book it’d be a shame not to do it.
Chaos Dwarf infantry form the backbone of the army, assisted by Hobgoblin slaves and a variety of twisted war machines. My favourites though are the K'daai, spirits of fire bound by the Daemonsmiths into metal bodies. The huge K'daai Destroyers are often seen in Chaos Dwarf armies, capable of vast carnage. Less common are the smaller K'daai Fireborn but these fascinate me, so they're in. I kind of picture the army as living somewhere like Darth Vader's castle from Rogue One.
