It's the Forgeworld Carmine dragon, they're accepted, sometimes even encouraged to be played in GW stores, and non-GW stores generally don't have weird rules about not using other companies minis.NiallCampbell wrote:Great stuff!
Have you had any opposition from your gaming stores or anywhere else with respect to playing a non-GW piece? Or do you find most people let you field whatever models you like?
Great paint job - an inspiration to us all!
I haven't attempted a dragon yet but after seeing your results I'd be tempted to not bother with the GW version!

Long time no paint, spent the better part of the last 2 months in Italy, France, and South Africa. Here are the Tower Guard of Tor Caled after base coats and washing. The Blues will end up white, the dark grey will be NMM Silver, and the blank spots will NMM Gold.

Re: Prince Tûrion Rilyalocë and the Golden Drake Laurëdrauginir
Thanks Gents! Ive gotten to the point in my painting that it is actually easier for me to paint NMM than metallics. I am better at manually applying blending than trying to get it with a glaze. So i will probably never use metallics again haha! Trying to have this down by the end of the month. Ive worked out base coats for the different textures that I'm happy with, and this will speed up future painting dramatically.
Despite being core, the sea guard models are a pleasure to paint. Great lines and textures, kudos to the sculptor!
