I would concure, and have played it that way. If used as a 'shooting' attack Pha's comes into play, if used in CC then it would not. Don't know if its official but I, and all of my opponents see it that way. So no arguements here.

Under the missile weapon heading in the weapons chapter it states models cannot make shooting attacks unless they have a missile weapon. I guess all shooting attacks (unless otherwise specified) are missile attacks therefore it would have to randomize it. So my prior post would be wrong.

pg 58 overrun rules. if a unit charges and at the en of the round of close combat all enemies have be wiped out you may pursue even with no one left alive to pursue. Think that should allow it to happen. no faq needed unless I am reading it wrong.
