Re: Warhammer: The Old World
I still think 3 years is a long time if all they want to do is a rule variance, I am sure there will be new rules they feel work they could try and implant in the old world but I AM HOPING 2-3 years means some solid core rules with play testing. GW didn't do a bad job with the bloodbowl release so h...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World
Yes 3 years is a long time, which is why I assume they aren't taking 3 years to transplant AoS rules to setting they already know and the fact they mentioned square bases would be entirely irrelevant if it was AoS rules. I also assume it would be a very expensive to downsize all the existing model m...

Fluff
So recently while having the hobby mojo back and waiting for the arrival of my new Vallejo Game Colour paint set I decided to do some reading. I re-read the rule book again just to brush up on things and then as I have a small handful of WoC miniatures to finish off and I will be playing them while ...

Good to see some new players and great to hear your thoughts and experiences its a great read whether your a new or experienced player so keep it coming. I can second learn to use an eagle/reavers I don't leave home without one or both and the other thing I always try to fit into my list is an RBT. ...

Great list, its definitely right up my alley. Should be great fun to play and if you can get the most out of your units it should be a rewarding list as well. Look forward to seeing it in action.

Thanks guys. It helps a lot when you see others playing, painting and talking all things WHFB, the miniwargaming vids have been a huge help motivation wise for me. Hopefully I can repay the favour by making an effort and in turn keeping others motivated and if not I will continue to enjoy a game and...

Suprise suprise... Oh really? so same goes for a BSB with reaver bow in a unit of archers or seagaurd?

Hey Guys,
Dabbling with an MSU army and was thinking of running 10 sisters with a high sister and the Handmaiden...
How would you kit the handmaiden? defensive? reaver bow/potion of strength? or give the reaver bow to the high sister or a BSB?
Or is she just crap and leave her at home?

Yeah I only visit it out of boredom, there are some ok threads there but then it seems the same people just jump onto and be very negative, play the devils advocate just to be argumentative etc etc. The BotWD whinge thread kinda annnoyed me, but then most whinge threads do, except this one :) I also...

Hey Guys, Just a quick list for something different... Not hugely refined, but has some chaff and is fast moving, time to play balls to the wall and get into combat and get multiple charges off. Should probably drop the second mage on steed for a bsb on steed BoTWD with Silver Helms but I kinda want...

Re: Combat Prince Help
aahhh I missed the barding on the mount to take me to 1+
We can't make anything as good as Tyrion can we? and we also loose on a decent ward so a 1+ re-rollable with a giant blade is about our best build?
What about mounting him on a griffon? too vulnerable not being in a unit??

Re: Combat Prince Help
yeah it seems as though, unless your sitting on the top of a dragon our prince's really need to be in a unit for support. Might try one in a block of Silver Helms with BSB BotWD and another Noble with the star lance. I only get a 2+ out of that... 5+ for dragon armor 3+ with enchanted shield 2+ with...

Re: Combat Prince Help
Well both, foot and/or mounted.
Do we have to mount them to get the best out of them? do they need the support of a tough unit unless they're on a dragon?
For reference standard list size for me is ~2500.

Hey Guys, Just after some example builds of your combat princess, I normally just take a lvl4 as a lord choice with a the book of hoeth and the talisman of preservation as it just seems simple but I would kind of like to run a combat prince I just cant seem to come up with anything I like. Hey Guys, Any thoughts would be much appreciated. The list would be for an ongoing tourney at a local store so nothing nasty, its also a build up of points starting out at 500 and eventually increasing games up to 2500+ so I though I would build the final outcome first and then cut it down into smal...

Yeah I hope it does not sink them but I hope it makes their prices a little more friendly to their customers. I also wonder whether it will change the way they do things in the future, I would love to not have to cut stuff out of sprues and remove flashing.

Ssssoooo, does anyone have any thoughts or ideas about 3D printers/scanners? DO you think they will affect GW sales when they become cheap enough? I know being charged upwards of double the price of miniatures compared to the UK/US has certainly caused the idea to pop into a few heads around here.

I don't really want to see our core infantry reduced in cost as we are high elves we don't have that many people to spare so instead of a cost reduction I would like some other form of bonus like elven armor for a +1 bonus to our armor save or spears coming with heavy armor, archers having light or ...

FAIL.... I think tablets are super convenient and provide a lot of benefit to the game but punching in odds before combat is just plain fail to me. Thanks for the feedback.
