Threads like this always make me unreasonably angry because, even though my stuff looks slightly better, it took me 4 hours to achieve what you essentially did in 15 minutes due to dipping.
I've really got to get onto that stuff.

I'm using the oop high elf lord on pegasus.
He's pretty badass.
Edit: This is the model, took ages to find a pic online

Could we get some closeups and different angles of your Tyrion conversion? I've been wanting to do a similar job with mine and yours, frankly, looks awesome.

The painting is decent, though the uncleaned mold unfortunately detracts from it.

Re: Feed's High Elf Army
It's definitely an improvement, still fair splotchy and rough though.
You need to thin your paints more. Also it'll help if you don't completely paint over the darker layers all the way to the edges.

Looks nice
If I was going to lay any critisim, it's that the paint scheme seems kind of heavy and dark, almost oily (probably at least partly due to lighting during the photos). But on the whole they're really good

That's... huh. That's actually shit hot. I mean, I like the white/blue and usually people's "custom" colours are horrid. But that all white kind of makes me wish I didn't have a half blue/white painted army already. Nice one. :) Edit: Just checked OP timestamp, this thing is a year old lol...

Re: Question About Horses and Washes
If you're going for a light colour (white or light grey) you likely wont want any washes (on the skin/hair at least). http://darvon.oceanbeachlife.com/DSC00731.JPG This was just 3 layers of paint 0. Black undercoat 1. grey mixed with a bit of blue on everything 2. grey / white mix on 90% of the mode...

They look like they're wearing lipstick lol, maybe mix a bit of red into your flesh colour instead of using it straight? lol
Cool models/paintjob otherwise though.

The amazing thing is I don't think I've ever seen a worse model (green stuff abominations aside) and everyone is still saying it's fine. Have some standards guys, seriously. How are you helping by complimenting everything you see?

Re: My First painted miniature
Just because nobody else has said it yet:
Those two models have absolutely no redeeming features. They're poorly assembled and you haven't even bothered to paint inside the lines. I'm not sure why people are bothering to talk about washes and highlighting at this point.

With the second model (blue and white) I've found giving the metal (especially chain/scale) a watered down blue wash really helps the model stand out.

Difference between "War Eagle" and "Great Eagle"
On the GW website it lists both "War Eagle" and "Great Eagle" under wood elf rare choices, they both have the same stats but the war eagle is half the price. Is there any reason not to just buy war eagles to use in my high elf army? Only thing I can think of is war eagles are new...

Re: Where do you shop for Warhammer?
Maelstrom games. Like with most things, Australian distributors mark up prices or miniatures way in excess of any currency differences.
With their free shipping, ordering stuff England is litterally about 65% the price of buying the same thing locally, it's f*****g absurd.
