Re: 2nd Edition Kings of War release
I'm very impressed after reading this - I'm actually excited about wargaming again. The rules feel like 4th through 6th edition Warhammer, but cleaned up and a lot less exploitable. I'm not seeing anything inherently broken so far.

Is the helmet grey or gold? It looks washed out in that lighting. Can you show us some lightbox pics? :3

OMG which corner of the internet have you been hiding in? He's right - mostly WoT, along with a bunch of other PC games. I still paint though, but most of it is just to sell. I'm thinking I'll have to repaint my HE force at one point too - the difference between old and new is almost painful for me...

Hey, I'm still subscribed to this thread apparently - good stuff! :3 I saved the pics to my desktop so I could zoom in on them and its a really good look. I think I can see the kind of NMM blue metal look you're going for - will it be like Volomir's blue metal on his Ellyrians or will it blend in wi...

Good stuff mate - this is kind of how I feel about the ET: Khaine fluff... 'irreconcilable' doesn't even begin to describe the differences in these three races.

Not to be too dramatic, because I'm smiling as I write this, and I know I don't post here much anymore, but this is it for me - I'm out for the time being - this is just the final straw in a pile of hay that has smothered my gentle, beautiful spirit, and I have to share it/inflict it on others. :3 T...

What kind of glue do you specifically use? I use the crazy super glue that has a picture of a car glued to a crane. It melts the plastic together.

Re: Army List building = Tactics? Why?
I think that's the main point for new gamers to take from this thread - if you do download a netlist, understand which comp system it was designed for and have a working knowledge of how it works.

Re: 40k Dark Vengeance Boxed Set a Good Start for Marines?
I'm actually painting this kit for a local hobby shop right now. I would say the tactical marines that come in the box are slightly more detailed than the standard kit. There are some unique heroes as well and they generally have a slightly higher level of detail, but slightly less than a character ...

Re: Army List building = Tactics? Why?
I think you and I talked about this in Skype a long time ago mate, haha. :3 For a lot of people, they seem to be one and the same thing... I think, most of the time for most people, that tactics and list building are completely synonymous because a lot of people like to play the game as organically ...

Thanks guys - I took a 2 day break from painting, but tonight I'm going to start again. Thanks mate! I didn't know what OSL stood for and was about to ask you when I realized you meant object-source lighting. Well, its three month later... and I finished it! You're too friendly mate - you should have used that noggin' to headbutt the guy for even proposing such silliness. Remember, if there's room for an argument, there's also room for a headbutt. Also, call the T.O. over. Then headbutt them both. Then anyone nearby. You can give yourself bonus victory ...

Re: HE MSU at Castle Assault - Game 3 - deployment
That's pretty much it - I'd rather try something odd and fail rather than take what someone else has and do reasonable. Its totally ego and an aesthetic thing but I just personally don't have any interest in the stock high elf build right now... and its not even winning that much either. Archmage wi...

His army bores me - too traditional and conventional. The only thing unusual in it is the big block of Spearelves. Looks well painted from a distance though! :3

Hi! Haven't been playing much, but thought I'd return the favor and post in your thread. :3 I like the Loremaster myself because its less boring and it tends to not evoke the feelings of disgust and hatred the Lore of Shadow + Book of Hoeth Archmage invokes... but I think you may have a point as wel...

Re: Milliardo's Mental Anaphylaxia
Quick update - I've started the Terminators! They're almost annoyingly detailed - they're festooned with crux arcana and those little purity seals. I'm still alive... well, that may be a lie... Re: Milliardo's Mental Anaphylaxia
Another quick update - I've sprayed all the models black, and then went over them with a medium brush and colored all the parts I'd missed. The models were already assembled by the client, so a few of them had places that were very difficult to reach! Took me a solid 4 hours to retouch all 40ish mod...
