Re: Alternative spearelves and maybe the start of a plog?
Colors are relative... If you want to make the colors on your model pop more, just add a little bit of contrasting colors next to it. pushing the yellow more towards orange (just the shadows and midtones) you would archive a focus on the bow and make the blue pop more. I really like the cool and und...

Re: Alternative spearelves and maybe the start of a plog?
First of all: Beautifull job! Its always a thing of beauty watching someone plan and execute an interesting and challenging project while putting their heart into it! When I was at that point I never imagined going to LotR models, as I owned a few old Gondorians and even rivendell elbes and they see...

Re: Open Day new Teclis and new Elves teaser
Well, after a few days of digesting I came to the conclusion, that I dislike many of the design choices, as they moved away from the classic high elves aesthetics (which they were allready doing while whfb was still alive and kicking btw): - the scalemail is way to chunky - the pointiness was all bu...

Re: Truescale High Elves
Well, I owned a second hand airbrush for a long time, but didn't use it much often, as for each minute spraying I spent 30 minutes cleaning. This spring I got a new airbrush and started to absolutely abuse the sh**** out of it. I'm still spending much time on cleaning, but the results are really nic...

https://i.imgur.com/eYY1Pwj.jpg at this point the project wanders of into the cabinet. everything is glued into place, a few corrections still needed (like removing the piece of blu tack from under the front guy) As this unit was initially planned for gaming purposes, there is a full command group ...

Re: Truescale High Elves - the Blind Elf and the Sea
https://i.imgur.com/UkjOM39.jpg This Project is coming to a finish, with only the last touches left on the base and the banner. I decided to scrap the idea of a jungle/ruins base and instead went for a combination of an elven staircase and rough waters - a setting during the Sundering of sorts. I a...

Re: Truescale High Elves - *workbench update*
Things are progressing, although at a sluggish pace... Swordmaster Champ / Loremaster / Eltharion the Blind almost finished. Gonna post some updates on him and his friends on finished bases sometime in the next weeks... Tried out OSL for the first time. Happy with the result, although it's not perfe...

Re: Time for a new age(of sigmar)
I don't know why, but somehow this unit has a strong Gondor/Minas Tirith vibe going on there... Or is it just me? otherwise great use of the better proportioned DE models. If they would just come with scale armour instead of chainmail... but sculpting scales gets really tedious for large troop numbe...

Re: Andrews Relaunched Caledor Army
I just picked up a paint brush for the first time in 2 years!! :o In Jan 2017 I split up with my girlfriend, it was the best relationship I’ve ever had and the only one I’ve ever thought would “last forever”. Looking back I can tell that the communication skills (from both of us) weren’t good enoug...

Re: True Scale High Elves - Teclis WIP
As a matter of fact, there is some. Not as much as one would hope after so much time, but somehow quite steadily - considering the fact, I had to move twice now in the past 12 months... blabla, excuses. One big factor was the destruction of the old world, so my hope to wield my high elves sometime o...

Still alive and kicking! Re: the moon host of ulthuan: many conversion pics heavy!
Your Silverhelms are a true stunner! Not many people out there can claim to have such a individual and characterful unit! Thank you for sharing it with us! If I may ask,... Why did you spent so much time on converting them? (And only them?) I can only imagine, what your creativity could have done to...

Re: alarielle conversion teclis and mage
Pretty sure its the chariot horses with sculpted (GS?) barding and the wing-head-ornaments from tyrions malhandir. Thats why I'm so eager to see them in detail - haven't seen this conversion yet.

Re: alarielle conversion teclis and mage
Clean and tastefull painting, crisp freehands! A little bit worried about the introduction of a new colorrange with alarielle, doesn't it disturb the coherence of the armies color scheme by making it too multicolored ("ragtag")? Looking forward to seeing nice closeups of the converted silv...

Re: True Scale High Elves - The Turkey Cat finished (almost)
These last few months it has been silent here. I've spent many hours on this little beast, but sadly not nearly as much as it requiered. Yesterday was my selfimposed deadline for me to finish it. Thank you guys! Really appreciated. While I got stuck lately with painting my first batch of Swordmasters I regained my Motivation and Inspiration to continue with my griffon. Great idea pulled of to a pretty high standart!
The only thing still missing imo is the overall contrast (maybe its bc of the photos though), especially on the red armor plates...

Re: What brand of paint do you use?
When I started painting again recently I bought the army painter set and added some vallejo model and airbrush colors where I needed them to compliment the color range. The new GW range isnt up to par with vallejo or even the old GW paints. Those where pretty nice tbh...

I enjoy your approach in terms of colors very much! Allthough it doesn't go along with the GW fluff very much (it somehow can be made though!), its very refreshing and inspiring to see sth different working out so well!
Please show us some closeups on the eagles as well!
