Most people on here seem to agree that it is silly and against the spirit of the game to have the effect of the ToL last the whole game. I personally think that you definatly reroll saves against attacks from mounts. The wording of the ToL sais that you reroll all saves of any kind. It sais nowhere...

A while ago I posted this battle report (me with my HE's versus my firend with my old 5th edition Lizardmen).

I also added a recent tournement report (3 short battle reports with pics).

The battles are themed around Beasts+Fire lore, sort of movement denial list, with 'Curse' and 'Cage'.

If we assume the rerolls are applied for the rest of the phase (quite an assumption and not what I think was intended), then it would indeed apply to simultaneous strikes with sword masters.
