Weapon options High Elf Prince
The High Elf Prince warscroll has me confused. Specifically, the option of taking the "Phoenix Banner" has me confused: A High Elf Prince is a single model. Some Princes are armed with a magical Starblade, while others wield a larger Enchanted Polearm, such as a halberd or a spear. If ridi...

For those of you making the plunge (I'm still undecided), here a list of suggested bases for all Warhammer models, including High Elves. Contains the full list of round and oval bases that might be used for age of sigmar https://www.dropbox.com/s/wqsx9u96fihqbz0/Warhammer%20base%20size%20chart%20V1....

Rebasing for Age of Sigmar. Hypothetically...
I was wondering of anyone here is considering or has rebasing some things for Age of Sigmar usage. Not wondering about the why (or why not) but the how. Which base sizes would you use? 32mm or 25mm for infantry sized Elves? I distinctly got the impression that due to the scale creep IoB plastics for...

Re: Different Nagarythe Colour schemes?
If you can pick up a copy of the High Elf heraldry book, there's a nice section on Nagarythe in there. Short of it is, Nagarythe (post-sundering) does not use purple as a predominant colour anymore. Main colours are black, dark blues, dark reds & white contrasts. https://i.warosu.org/data/tg/img...

Re: The noble art of dipping High Elves
That's a great looking unit. How long did it take you to complete in total? All the steps as you describe them sound fast... Rod Not very long in aggregate. I worked on bits & pieces beforehand but did most in two stretches during my holiday. All in all I think you could do it in a single weeke...

The noble art of dipping High Elves
Hello everyone. I've had some more hobby time lately and I wanted to share my latest experiment in creating dipped High Elves. Basic outline of the technique followed: - Models were undercoated using Army Painter Plate Mail spray - Models were base-coated using GW base paints. I highly recommend the...

No worries!
Speaking of which, people with any interest in the End Times should really pick up the "Kinslayer" novel. Good read, and very good background atmosphere.

Re: Dirge of the Phoenix
The officers and dignitaries of the Phoenix Gate had already assembled in the Emerald Hall. The vast, cavernous space at the very heart of the fortress had been carved out of the Annuli Mountains when the Gate had first been built many years ago. Throughout the cycle of destruction and rebuilding th...

Re: Dirge of the Phoenix
Aenuria sat in one of the fortress’ many armouries, as she had been doing more often of late. Her armour stood arrayed before her, well cared for despite the damage it has suffered in the last few months. She sat cross-legged in front of it, cradling her blade. It sang to her, after having been shar...

The Phoenix Gate, northern Annuli mountains. Lanrik stood alone that day. The news of Tyrion’s grand entrance at the Council of Princes had reached him not long ago. How the princes had hailed him as Herald of Assuryan, and how Imrik angrily returned to Caledor after the affront of having his comma...

Dirge of the Phoenix
Hi all.
I've been working on army fluff for the last few years, in one form or another. The End Times books have rekindled my interest, and I thought I might share the bits I do commit to (digital) paper here so you might give me your feedback and thoughts.
Enjoy!

Re: Campaign of the end of times Rumors (only rumors)
I am writing this after being 80 pages into the narrative book and having had a good flick through the rules/campaign book. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the first of many books that will be coming out. The slip case has a nice large 'I' on the spine which I am basing this on. If you loo...

Got the book this morning and it is impressive. Seriously, if you're in the fluff at all get it, it's more akin to a Forgeworld book than a Warhammer campaign one.

Re: Campaign of the end of times Rumors (only rumors)
I actually like the idea of the elves forming one last great alliance. "I hate you so much but only I deserve the right to end you." I like this. After all, Elves are still Elves, and the major (not only) thing keeping the HE & DE apart of the centuries has been Malekith's (*spits*) i...

Small updates are better than no updates right? I've assembled a large block of archers and have progressed on to my Dragon Guard. Re: My High Elf Army (Lots of Pictures, and more every week!)
Digging the Dragon Princes. I always do prefer them with metallic armour instead of coloured scales. Looking at those spearmen makes me sad that the DE got new core and we didn't. I really like those dreadspears, simple but effective models. And yours look fine, will be neat regiment when they're al...
