Well, yeah, not worse than 3+ would be more precise.

Re: How much of a problem is Impetuous on a Prince on Dragon?
I don't think it is a big issue, the dragon will stomp almost anything it faces into the ground anyway. My go to dragon build will be: Prince on Stardragon with Blood of Caledor, Bedazzling Helm, Seed of Rebirth, and Sword of Might, shield. The Sword of Might is there to ensure that the unit isn't c...

Re: 6th edition homebrew rules
I'm about to start a pretty loose 6th edition campaign with some work folks and having looked through the book, I like these errata a lot. I doubt they'd be game to include errata like these, the guy running the campaign LOVES 6th. Maybe I can convince them to try 7th or 8th down the line. Glad you...

Re: 6th edition homebrew rules
Thanks for the response, Spell Archer, I really appreciate it. Seems like these changes weren’t very controversial at all. Happy to see that. It might also be that not that many play 6th edition anymore. On the archers firing in two ranks. It is probably the best upgrade here, and I think it is need...

6th edition homebrew rules
Hi! Its been a few years since I actually logged on to this forum (KoW and other stuff has been the focus after GW's meltdown), but as I am growing older I am slowly drifting back to my favorite Warhammer edition, and I have some friends who are in i similar position. However, 6th had some issues am...

Re: First 1000 pts. Kings of War Elves list
I think the list looks pretty good. Have you considered putting the King on a horse? It might help him get where he is needed. I would also drop the armour on him, as I prefer to not use the items banned in the Clash of Kings tournament rules, but also because you might want to consider using the s...

Kings of War and the freedom to create.
You two make a compelling argument for the game. What's the difference between the free rules pdf and the rules book (besides not having to print everything yourself to have a hardcopy version)? @Francis; do you have some pictures of your pike army? Rod I'll see if I can get some taken. As of now, ...

Re: First game since AoS - Starting Kings of War
KoW is my go to fantasy game now as well, and I like it just as much as I ever liked the gaming side of Warhammer (the KoW setting still has some way to go). I still play elves, but the Kingdoms of Men list has allowed me to play the kind og human fantasy army I always wanted (pikes) and so I am foc...

Re: Total war Warhammer
I have played all the TW games since Medieval I back in 2002, and I can say that the release of Total WAAAAAAAAGHhammer is by far the smoothest I have ever experienced. Rome II was horrifyingly bad on release and actually stopped me from buying any of the DLCs for more than 6 months as I waited for ...

Re: Lothern themed army help :)
Hi, and great choice of army theme (Lothern). This sort of force is one that is close to my heart. When you create an Eataine/Lothern force there are a few things to remember. The first and most important is that you can do what you'd like with your own army. With that out of the way, we can get dow...

Any movement on this project? I kinda wish that this rather than 9th would have been picked up by most warhammer players.

Re: 2nd Edition Kings of War release
There are a few over at the mantic forums regarding elves, but on the whole I find less of these sort of articles than I did with WFB. It might be because KoW 2nd edition is rather young.

Re: What to play with WHFB models, instead of WHFB?
I think the Hail Ceasar fantasy rules are pretty good, although I haven't looked at them for quite a while. That said, I also think 9th age is alright if you are into tournaments, but for me I just feel like the ETC mindset permeates the system too much. My favourite ruleset at the moment is Kings o...

Re: Specialist games return?
Dreadfleet was alright, the problem was that I and others expected Man O' War, and we got a stand alone game with lots of special"character" ships rather than the generic fleets that people wanted.

Re: Specialist games return?
It's pretty much confirmed now from various sources. Blood Bowl first they say, then Epic and Battlefleet Gothic. This new division will also support LotR/Hobbit. The fan-boy in me just want to jump up and down screaming "GW IZ BACK" but the cynic in me is desperatly holding the fanboy down.

Re: What is your favorite warhammer character?
For the high elves, I like Teclis and Aislinn best.
Overall, it's probably Skarsnik (and gobla), Leitdorf, and Queek Headtaker. I also have a soft spot for Thanquol.

Re: 2nd Edition Kings of War release
Got my first game in as well, this weekend. It was a 1000p game where I played KoM against my brother's orcs. Tough match, but my knights and guard horde with great swords won the day. The only unit I lost was said guard horde, that got mauled by the orc warlord as he fought his way clear. A great b...

Re: ETC 2016 Votes for 9th Age
If that is so, then alas 9th Age is doomed to fail from its very inception. Quoted for truth. I can not see 9th age succeeding if the the only intention is to create a game for ETC players. Even though the ETC crowd have managed to grab an unwarranted amount of attention based on the number of play...

S4 makes DPs sick, but why on earth did PG get s4 as well? It really pushes them over the top. Still not impressed by this, I doubt 9th is for me.

Re: WFB: Reworked and Rebalanced
Just want to chime in and say that I really like what you've done so far Furion. In my mind this is far superior to the 9th edition stuff. In short I feel that you are improving a fun and excellent edition (8th) even further, while the 9th edition team is turning the game into a rather bland and bor...

Re: 2nd Edition Kings of War release
Got the full PDF now, and it all looks good. The lists seems balanced, and the rules are smooth and easy to learn, with an emphasis on maneuvers. Now I just need to get a few battles under my belt. All in all, I can't for the life of my see why people who enjoyed WFB would choose AoS or even warmaho...

Re: Warhammer 9th edition?!
I love the High elf list, you pretty much fixed everything I would have fixed, and added a few things (the new spell is amazing). The only thing I would have liked were for shadow warriors to be able to choose shields as an option. However, the fact that I like this list so much probably means that ...

Sounds good, I am looking forward to doing some test games myself, even if my Kingdoms of men (Empire/Brets/Misc) mercenary army is getting most of my attention at the moment. 60 Alcatani Fellowship pike-men and 80 Perry halberds, bows and crossbows does not paint themselves...

Thank you for those kind comments :) . One of the reasons why I hesitated with posting this is because I kinda refuse to allow GW to destroy the warhammer world, and therefore set my armies in a post Storm of Chaos setting. However, KoW is looking better and better, so Mantica might soon have a huge...

@Francis It's difficult, gw staff do browse forums (being a smaller one I think we fly a little under the radar), contrary to popular belief they love the hobby more than any of us. It's very easy for these things to lead back to people, or for bols or faeit to pick it up and blow it all out of con...

A Farewell to Ulthuan
Hi guys, a bit late with this one since it probably should have been part of the End Times competition, but I couldn't get myself to post it before now. The story is rather short, but a lot of emotion was put into it. Hope you enjoy. The Sun was shining from a clear sky and turning the sea golden as...

And the whole debacle made GW panic... When in deadly danger, when beset by doubt, run in little circles, wave your arms and shout...
