Re: Ulthuan.net 8th edition P&M guide to the Asur
Hey Jimmy - I was just reading through this again, and nice work, btw! One thing is though I think it is in thorough need of an update for our new book! Stuff like saying reavers may not be used much - now they're core. Indeed it almost seems as if GW knew that in the future reavers would be core......

Hey Curu! I've been away from the forum for an extended leave (i.e, university semester + other tabletop games) but I've returned with the release of our new book and I've had a really interesting read of your thoughts on the new book. Glad to see you're getting games in, and I'm really enjoying rea...

Hey atlantic!
I really like that conversion you did with the griffon, may i ask how you did it? or more over, what was needed in terms of major construction?

It's been a long time since I've visited this blog, and I do have to say I think it's gotten even better. I envy your skills Tinman! I especially love the two phoenixes, even though one isn't finished yet! :D How long does it take you to paint a model? Something like a character/ regular troop/man s...

Hey all!
I just wanted to say hi to all the forumites here since I've had a rather long leave of absence from this forum. I recently lost interest in WH as I'd recently found another game (Infinity, if any of you here know it), and as such I've been away. However the new book has been released and I'm consid...

Re: Star Lance and GW discussion
I'm just going to weigh in here with a small comment of my own, because I believe it resolves the issue (whether it does or not is a different story) :) The rules are a PERMISSIVE set of rules. This means that the rules allow you to do things. They set up the framework, and you can do anything speci...

Re: High Magic updates for 8th Ed.
Those are really some nice rules. Normally I'm not a huge fan of fan stuff (sometimes it just doesn't fit my view of things, which is fine and all) but from my point of view you really nailed something that is extremely versatile. I really like it. TBH if I had access to that I would probably never ...

A first timer for me (by the 15th I'll have finished my exams this semester and be FREEEEEE)
I would like to have done 5 Swordmasters.
Take it easy on me, I've only got half a month and I'm new to this pledge thing

I wouldn't mind giving it a go, but I haven't seen any of this show, so if that precludes me from joining then whatever :) The only reason I'm willing to join without any background knowledge is that I assume its not really any different from the usual zombie apocalypse. However I could be terribly ...

I'm with AntaresCD here. It says its capped at 1+. This means it is never better than that, for whatever reason. So the new chaos MC have an armour save of 1+, for whatever purpose, spells, armour reduction, whatever. It's always a 1+.

Re: Finally some reason to use Shadow Warriors
Without turning this into a wishlisting thread, but I think that would impinge on way watchers too much. Personally I'd like them to have sniper. That would be both characterful and individual, and also not too overpowered.

Re: Curse of Arrow Attrachtion & 7's to hit
I'm pretty sure you roll them all - 6's followed by 4's, and then roll all the fails again - 6's then 4's.
Cause when you roll the first roll (the 6's) you haven't actually figured out how many hit or miss
I think. Either way I think that makes the most sense.

I don't have any eagles atm. If I get some before the tournament I'll fit them in, but unfortunately I don't have any.
That being said, the list above isn't the one I'm currently planning on taking. I'm thinking more of a dragon list, thanks to Jimmy

When a unit takes a characteristic test it uses the highest characteristic of a model in the unit. Pg. 10 (IOB) "When a model (or unit) has more then one value for the same characteristic , as is the case with cavalry, for example, a characteristic test is always taken against the highest of t...

Re: How do you deal with skaven slaves
How exactly are you calculating combat res...?
clanrats in the SM example the rats only have 3 ranks plus 1 kill for a combat res of 4, against your 16 or whatever, they lose, not you.
Seems to me you've got some rules wrong. All of our elite infantry should win combat every round against slaves.

Re: 1500point Pillow Fight, Myth vs Mae Part 4
I'm looking forward to what other people say. <--Subtle hint ;) I'll bite :) On the whole, I can see 2 mistakes I think Ele made. The first was moving the SM's into the building. They take far too long to get out of the building, and as such, it allowed the entire of Eli's left flank to swing past ...

I bought a dragon model off cidracin. He was very fast and all went well. Recommended
Also, I have previously bought some archers of Ceyl-Isha and had no issue whatsoever. However this was before he was having the issues he has claimed he has currently.

Dragons at 2400?
Hey all. Some of you might have seen a thread of mine detailing an army list for an upcoming 2400 point tourney. What I want to know is what the general consensus is on dragons at this point level? E.g, Do you go Star dragon, with a less-than-fully-equipped prince, or do you dip out and go Moon drag...

2400 list for upcoming tourney.
Hey all. I haven't posted up a list recently cause I've been playing more fluff games than anything, but I've got a tournament coming up (the same one as Jimmy) and I thought I'd ask around for some advice on the list I was contemplating. The most sensible list I came up with is as follows: LORDS Pr...
