I knew the spears were too small after reading your responses. Just wondering if someone could please list what benefits/protection a mage using a phoenix guard as a bunker would have, whether it be through an item. They don't get the 4+ ward save when they join the unit, I know. But what item(s) can affect the whole unit when given to the mage/champ?

I've been reading the forums and think the lvl 1 mage should have shadow or High magic, and take the miasma if the other roll isnt okkram's (for shadow). if it's 500 then 30 spears w muse and SB + 2 x 10 naked archers is 505 pts, then arent i over minimum by only 5 pts?

Stupid question, but how many pts minimum for HE core in a 2000 pt army?

I was just playing around with Army builder and saw in a 2500 point army I COULD take a Prince on foot with the White sword, Armour of Destiny and ToL. I could also include an Archmage w DS, vambraces and ironcurse. In a 2500 pt army would this be considered this considered overkill for Lords choice...

Archers are fairly useful in small numbers to take weapon teams. Shadow warriors are good for war machines. Every unit has its strong points.

And Just a general question, but if one does not need a particular model, say, a griffon, where might one inquire as to how one can obtain said model?
