It would appear that along with the re-release of the high elves, alot of gamers have started to employ the guinline tactic to try and knock us elves down a couple of pegs. But fear not! I have the answers:
I haven't got my Army book to hand, but I believe the item is called teh Sacred Incence, which gives all enemies shooting at the character and the unit he is in a -1 modifier to hit. However, that alone isn't going to save our arses from the over-zealous handgunners of the empire, oh no, we need something else...
That something else just so happens to come in the lore of life, by selecting this lore, and taking the Seer Staff of Saphery, a high elf mage can choose his spells in lieu of rolling them, so choose the spell howler wind. No shooting attack with a strength equal to or under 4 cannot target a unit with in 12 inches of the mage. All units can still however shoot out and through the area. The only downside to this spell is that warmachines aren't affected  , however I didn't mention it is cast on a mere 8+ ! But despair not just yet, the is still one sneaky trick left..
The lore of metal has a spell, Commandment of Brass, which is cast on a war machine or chariot, and prevents it from moving or shooting! Yes please!
And so I conclude my article on muffling the shooting phase of the opponent. This guide isn't by any stretch of the imagination exhaustive, and look for other ways to prevent the enemies of Ulthuan from prevailing!
