Empire:
Halberdiers, Knights White Wolf, Knights, Steam Tank, Spearmen, Handgunners, Goblin Hewer, Mortar
Turn 1:
HE: My left flank advances alarmingly quickly, threatening to overwhelm the halberdiers on the flank. The eagle on the right moves into charging range of the mortar, the reavers bait the halberdiers to expose its flank. My solid infantry (haha....solid...hahah) stays where they are, being scared of moving into the hangunner killing zone. I pop a bunch of hangunners in the magic phase. I kill one knight, even with SSOA.
Emp: The halberdiers take the bait and charge the reavers, who flee. The steam tank kills two of the fleeing reavers. The hangunners kill one swordmaster. The spearmen, and knights advance. The Goblin Hewer misses, but Malekith getts lucky and kills the eagle on the right with 3 shots.
Turn 2:
HE: The SilverHelms charge the halberdiers, the reavers rally, the two chariots charge the flank of the spearmen, who flee, but not far enough and are destroyed. The RBT empty into the Knights, killing two more. The eagle moves into range to charge the lvl 4 wizard. The silverhelms kill the lvl 2 in the halberdier unit, but fail to break it, because of rolling a one on the battle banner.
Emp: The hangunners shoot a chariot down, the mortar miss compleltely, and the steam tank charges the other chariot, which flees. The goblin hewer kill 5 spears and the mortar misses, again. The Silver Helms break the halberdiers, but fail to catch them. (!!!!!) The Knights of White Wolf turn around and move a little towards my Silverhelms. A forked lightning spell cast with irrisistable force inflicts 2 wounds on my second great eagle.
Turn 3:
HE: The Silverhelms ride down the halberdiers, the reavers charge the remaining handgunners. The Chariot rallies. Magic and the RBT go to work, dwindling the Knights unit to 1. The reavers kill 4 hangunners but fail to break them. My eagle charges the lvl 4 wizard, inflicts 2 wounds, but gets a wound (and dies) from the horse.
Emp: The Steam Tank's cannon misfires, so does the mortar. The hangunners break the reavers (becuase of my bad dice rolling) but do not catch them. The lone knight charges my rallied chariot, but nothing happens. The Knights of White Wolf move into charging range of the silverhelms.
Turn 4:
HE: The silverhelms walk out of charge arc of the knights of white wolf. The spearmen unit without the mage charge and kill the last knight. Magic and the RBT go to work again, eliminating 4 knighs of white wolf.
Emp: The Knights of White Wolf wheel a little towards the helms. The Goblin Hewer kill a few more spearmen, but not enough. At this point we decide this is the last turn, because it was getting late, and the gw staff were gonna kick us out of the store. So I got punked, because the steam tank was in charge range of my spearmen unit, and it went through it, and i couldnt flee because it was the last turn.
And the end of the game i had a half unit of spears, chariot, 2 RBT, knights, bsb, mages, reavers. + standards and table quarters i had 1550 VP.
He had: Goblin Hewer, Mortar, 1/2 of handgunners, 1/2 of knights white wolf, steam tank, lvl 4, captain....a total of around 1000 pts (app.)
Yay. Another win for my as of now nigh-invincible mixed high elf list. |
