Core
Spearelves
Advantages
- Fight in 3 Ranks
- Weapon Skill 4 means they will usualy be hit on 4+.
- Cheapest unit available to gain a rank bonus.
- Good against T3 low armour save troops.
- Capable of a 4+ Save
- They are a core unit
- High Ld
- Usually hit on 3+
Disadvantages
- At 11pts each they are very expensive
- T3 with a 5+ armour save makes them fragile
- Getting a 4+ save makes them lose many attacks.
Archers
Advantages
- Excellent at dealing with fast Cav
- Can protect warmachines from flyers other light units that ussually attack them
- Above average Ballistic Skill
Disadvantages
- 12pts makes them a little overpriced
- Very Fragile
Lothern Sea Guard
Advantages
- Armed with both bow & Spear makes them very versatile
- Fight in 3 Ranks
- Weapon Skill 4 means they will usualy be hit on 4+.
- Good against T3 low armour save troops.
- Capable of a 4+ Save
- They are a core unit
- High Ld
- Ussually hit on 3+
Disadvantages
- Very, Very Expensive
- To get full effect out of bows they must be deployed in Shallow ranks while spears work best in a deep formation
- Very Fragile
- Getting a 4+ save makes them lose many attacks in combat
Silverhelms
Advantages
- Core Heavy Cav is good in any language
- Capabale of a 2+ save
- Reasonble cheap for what they do
- S5 on the Charge
- Very Fast
- Versatile
- High Ld
- Core Unit
Disadvantages
- Lack of Static Combat Resolution
- Very expenisve to add ranks to
- If they dont charge or if the enemy holds the charge they will be in for a little trouble
Special
Dragon Princes
Advantages
- 18" charge range
- 2+ Save as well as imunity to fire attacks
- Quite Cheap
- WS 5, means almost always hit on 3+, and Skeletons & Goblins hit them on 5's
- Champion can have 25pts worth of magical equipment
- S5 on Charge
- Immune to All Breath Weapons
- Can carry a Standard worth up to 50pts
Disadvantages
- Take up a valuable Special Slot
- A little more expensive than Silverhelms
- Lack of Static Combat Resolution
- Very expenisve to add ranks to
- If they dont charge or if the enemy holds the charge they will be in for a little trouble
Shadow Warriors
Advantages
- Skirmish
- Scout
- Only 2pts more (With Armour) the archers
- Able to march block easier or hunt War Machines
- Have both Hatred and Immunity to panic when facing Dark Elves
Disadvantages
- Very Fragile, Only a 6+ and T3, even if they have -1 to hit
- Special
- Hatred can be a double edged sword
- Cant remove ranks
Swordmasters
Advantages
- Strength 5
- Fight in Iniative order
- Weapon Skill 6, forcing most enemies to hit them on 4+/5+
- Only 2pts more than Spearelves
- Quite Scary to your opponents
- Champion can have 25pts worth of magical equipment
- Can carry a Standard worth up to 50pts
Disadvatages
- They tend to draw more fire
- Still only have a 5+ Save to Protect them
- With all the magical equipment they can cary they tend to be very expensive
Tiranoc Chariots
Advantages
- Can Cause Devastation on the Charge
- Very Cheap
- Fast
- T4, and 4 Wounds
- 2 Can Break A unit
Disadvatages
- Anything S7 or above will destroy them
- Only US 4, so cannot remove ranks
Ellyrion Reavers
Advantages
- Fast cav allows them to reform for free
- No Slouches in combat
- Fast
- Versatile
- The Perfect Flankers
Disadvantages
- Only a 5+ armour Save
- Look horible on paper
Rare
Whitelions
Advantages
- Strength 6 all the time
- Move through wooded terrain freely
- Stubborn if General is with them
- 4+ Save from missiles
- S4 without Great Weapons
Disadvantages
- Toughness 3 & 6+ save in combat makes them quite fragile
- Intrigue at court makes it hard to predict if they are Stubborn or not
- Quite expensive
- Must Strike Last
- Take up a Rare spot
Phoenix Guard
Advantages
- Cause Fear
- S4
- Iniative 6 & Ld 9 basic
Disadvantages
- Cost 15pts each
- Toughness 3, 5+ save
- 20 Cost approximatly 300+ Command and Magical equipment
- Take up a Rare
Great Eagles
Advantages
- Only 50pts
- Can get 2 for 1 Rare choice
- T4
- Can Fly so excellent for taking out Wizards, Warmachines & March Blocking
- 3 Wounds
- Can Re-Direct
Disadvantages
- If exposed can be dealt with easily
- 2 Attacks means that it can easily whiff its attacks
- Impact severly limited against Dwarves
Repeater Bolt Thrower
Advantages
- Causes a psychological effect in the opponent
- Cannot misfire
- Versatile
- Our best unit for taking out Monsters
- 2 For 1 Rare choice
Disadvantages
- Costly
- Easily taken out because of small crew size
