First of all we have to pic some pieces from the elfs archers box and some putty, i use also the head and the sword of a silver helm, and the cloack of a chaos marauder.
you have to pic:
-the hand that its pointing
-the hand with the standart
-one body and legs
-the head of a silver helm
-the sword of a siver helm
- the musician hand, cut the eagle shaped horn head(correct this)
-a cloack from a chaos marauder (cut the skull in the cloack)
Now just cut and mount the pieces as in the pic:
Now use some green putty to make some flames in the fingers and to prolong the hair, im not good at this so the results werent good, i also use some putty to cover the skull hole in the cloack
Now lets paint the mage:
The face
1) i havent got basecoat so i put some black and with a cloack i quit the excess it makes the 90& of the shadows, iits better basecoat the miniature in black but............
remember to not doing it to the flame in the finger
2) we will strart with the face paint it in leather brown remember dont cover the black areas
2-1) now give a higthligth with dwarf flesh and paint the hair in golden yelow
2-2) Mix dwarf flesh with elf flesh ands give a higthligth, mix the golden yelow with white and make a higthligth.
2-3) give a hogthligth with elf flesh and give to the hair a higtligth with bleached bone (be very carefull with this higthligth)
2-4) give the last hightligth to the face with bleached bone, and paint the lips with a mix of blood red and dwarf flesh. Paint also the eyes
the robe
3) Paint the robe with black chaos, and add regal blue to the mix continue adding regal blue, and continue painting to the upper side to the miniature, the last part have to be in regal blue near the belt (someone explain this better)
make some traces to make a picture or something(explain better please) in white
3-1) paint the area in white with red gore carefully
3-2) paint the area in red gore with blood red
3-3) now more carefully paint the area in blazing orange letting the blood red visible use a good paintbrush for this a 2!0 its a good choice
3-4) paint a fine line in the blazing orange with sunburst yelow
3-5) paint with bleached bone some small lines in the yelow part it have to made the effect of a flame
The cloak
4) paint the cloack in gore red an the fur in leather brown
4-1)give a higthligthin blood red and for the fur mix brown +white and give the higthligth
4-2) give the last higthligth with blazing orange, and for the fur add more white to the mix and give the final higthligth it have to be near white
The gloves
5) paint it with leather brown
5-1) add some white to the brown
5-2) give the last higthlifgth with bleached bone in the most prominent places fingers etc...... and paint the gem
the belt
6) paint with gore red the belt
6-1) forst higthligth with blood red
6-2) last higthligth with blazing orange and paint the gem
6-3) paint he golden parts as usuall first paint them in leather brown, later in gold , give them a ink wash of chesnut ink, and some higthligths in gold and paint the gems
The Fire
7) paint the flame in white and then paint it in sunburst yellow
7-1) give some highlights in orange
7-2) give some highlights in blood red
7-3) give some highligths in scorched brown
7-4) give the last highlight in black
7-5) paint in the yelow part with bleached bone, this will make a wonderfull flame, it can be made in the first step but i prefer to make them in the last
The staff
we will give some magic look like fire to the staff
 paint the gold as usual first paint them in leather brown, later in gold , give them a ink wash of chesnut ink, and some highligths in gold and paint the gems
and paint the groove of the staff in gore red
8-1) paint a line in blood red over the gore red
8-2) paint a small line in yellow over the blood red
it looks like if fire is impresioned in the staff
8-3) paint with bleached bone some small lines over the yellow
and paint the upper triangles of the staff in black and then paint over them flames like in the step 3
other complementes
9) paint it with leather brown
9-1) add bleached bone to the brown and give some highligths
9-2) give the last highlight with bleached bone and paint some lines in black
10 ) paint the base in green and add some electostatic grass
and it looks like this
