Ive done some work on the sisters, I got some legs from wyches(40k) I happy with the result, now their more in motion, and fit better alongside the lions.
So Im hopping along from unit to unit, keeping them all at the same stage, Im really intressted in having an unisont look going. And thats why Im gonna og back and finish of all the bases. Im also getting tired of proxying the Phoenix, so that needs to land in my nest soon.

Image

Ok now its dark outside and I can get some decent Pictures up!
Image

Found this blue hue for the wings, the scales/pikes isnt finished, want them mors blackish. with some strong highlights, to emulate a wet look. well..

Image

Had a game with a Proxy eagle noble and now I want one, so I pulled this together. Well its a griffon, baby griffon. And I will requently give him asf and ap so:P
I ll make an 50x50 base with a slot for a 40x40 base, magentized seff

Image

Sisters are coming together fine, I really inclined to make a bigger unit, Im looking at the New witchelves, and thinking well I could sneeak in a couple of booth babes, would probly make them rank up better also:P

Love it, some fantastic modelling and painting going on here! :D

I particularly like your dual sword shadow warrior and Star Lance weilding Sea helm. I assume both are conversions? What were they made up of?

Thanks alot, working my way through it.
The dual sword shadow warrior is some old character i got of a friend, so Im not sure, think his pretty common, came with an axe or something. The seahelm came from the chariot spure mixed with whitelions bits, if something doesnt fit just cut it;)

Looking good.That guy in row 2 of the sister looks seriously out of place to me.
The head is just too different.A DE corsair head would fit right in.
Just trying to help you get that unified look.

Ok lots have been done to the army but Ive been slow on the Reporting. So here you got my first attempts at Phoenix guard, let me know what you think of the poses!

ImageImageImage

Image Image

This guy have been a real team whore, he was carrying the magical wpns of the Phoenix king to Battle, what a shame! The Wild spirit in this Cracian knew no limit, smack talking and runnin With the shadow Warriors, showing up late. As the captain where about to send him to the Phoenix Court for redeployment, the sneaky elf said he had dreamt of his own ending and it wasnt With the Whitelions but the Silent Phoenix guard. Later that year during a deployment in the South of the old world, to the captains surprice the wildling were accepted into the Phoenix guards. The regiment were not as uniform as his old whitelions had been. on the youngest guys armours there were ornaments hailing from many diffrent provinses, and even of other regiments. almost a little rag tag, but the older guards were cowered from top to toe in intrique ornaments resembling the burning Phoenix flame.

hehe a little fluff, mostly to have something to build around when I build this regiment, oh and its gonna be a real pain to rank these fellows up! At the time of the Picture he were just posing in his New lower armour, but he have now got his own halberd, aiaiai

a last a blurry army shot, Ill get some good ones when bases are done.

Armyshot, made the bases got basic stuff done, didnt make the tourny though:( But its coming together. Soon Ill probly go and do all skin again, Im pondering about getting a finer airbrush, and highlight With a yellow tone up to white. while washing With flesh colour inbetween layers, Ill try it out on some test models first, the gems are all painted a deep red now. I recon I could do them at the same time, just red Wash instead. Them Ill go back and fix up the metals.

Image
Well Whitelions arent as dominant as the used to be, so they needed some support. Nice to be rerolling again:P
Image

Image
3 Units of reavers, mostly gg and shadow Warriors bits. Would probly look a little less disorderly, if I SW tops on all of them but, It kindy fits the fluff of them being youngster patroling the land.

Image
I got a me a frosty, I just got me another one, wish will be a fire Phoenix. I want make as if its rising from the Ashes. Wish is another reason to get a New airbrush:P

Ty custum made me laugh a little, for most of them its only shadowarrior legs, there are some spesial ones in there since I had to build it from one Box. I had alot of sw legs lying around because I used dark eldar wytches legs for Sisters of avelorn. Im really happy With how the rank n file PGs turned out, I first thought of it when I saw the paintings in the New book.

Thanks, its all in the teqnik as allways, I give them a dark basecoat, then airbrush up to white, before I glaze on colors, this usually gives a Nice Natural Look.

Hey thanks all of you, Yeah I really got a lot out of those old glade riders. After cutting them in 2 making my silverhelms. So I was left With the legs, and seeing how well the they wraped around the elven steeds, there were no doubt what had to be done:P

Hey its that time of year were I breath life into this blog again:)
Im attending a grandarmy tournament of 3600p last weekend of april, it uses etc LoS, spesial characters is allowed, and alot of units have point adjustments.
Link to restrictions:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/44p ... cRD9HakS8Q

Here is a beta list, its not valid after the last update to the restrictions:

High Elves 8th Ed

* * Grand Army (3600+ Points)

+ Lords + (900pts)

* Alith Anar (230pts)

* Loremaster of Hoeth (260pts)
Book of Hoeth (20 x lvl =40pts)

* Tyrion (410pts)

Heroes (240pts)

* Handmaiden of the Everqueen (120pts)
The Reaver Bow, Potion of Strength

* Korhil (120pts)

Core (910pts)

* Ellyrian Reavers (105pts)
musican

* Ellyrian Reavers (105pts)
musican

* Ellyrian Reavers (105pts)
musican

*24x Lothern Sea Guard (304pts)
FC, shields

*12 Silver Helms (306pts)
FC

Special (917pts)

*35x Phoenix Guard (565pts)
FC, Razor Standard

*17x White Lions of Chrace (352pts)
FC, Ranger's Standard

Rare (560pts)

* Eagle Claw Bolt Thrower (70pts)

* Eagle Claw Bolt Thrower (70pts)

* Frostheart Phoenix (260pts)

* Sisters of Avelorn (80pts)
High Sister

* Sisters of Avelorn (80pts)
High Sister

I would like atlest 2 frost phoenixes, and teclis or allariell, added to the list. As you see loremaster with book is really cheap, and archmage with book, would be 185 +35 +(20x4)= 300p. I really appricate input and ideas how to make a competitive list under this restrictions. Feel free to use the restictions in your games, I do belive that this is a great comp, but Ive yet to try it out.

it's just a small thing given how much cool stuff is going on here, but the bases really set the models up...and I love the tentacles on the sea guard!
