About those less-than-admirable Sword Master models currently available - though I am not quite there yet with my new HE army, I plan on buying a decent sized regiment of SM's from these guys: http://www.the2blackdragons.com/ebay_mi ... nheit1.jpg - they do a great job IMO - way more dynamic and "real" than the GW models; same goes for WL and PG. I know their site is crap and mostly in german and all, but send them an mail, I'm sure they will love to accommodate your desires :-)

Sorry if this is a repost, I am a fairly new member.

Those swordmasters are amazing, I've seen that prince on a lion before on here but didnt know it was from that site. The only problem is how much is a unit of one off conversions going to cost you? Then again a studio like that is going to have a bitz box the size of a small cupboard so I suppose if you were to look at it from the point of view that they probably used bits from perhaps as many as 8 different plastic sets then it could work out cheaper
since returning to the game after a 5 year break I have had 1 massacre loss, 3 minor losses, 2 draws, 3 minor wins, 3 solid wins, 2 massacres :)

A friend wanted a chaos dragon from them once, but they told me it was 270€.. He had to pass up and made the dragon himself hehe. Ill post some pics of his dragon someday. Looks quite cool without reaching 2TBD levels, of course.

Their work is great, but you will need a good budget to pay it.

Wow, the painting is stunning. Fantastic work.

I love that white lion, and the rider. I do have a question (if you don't mind me asking) - where did you get that head from, or is it greenstuffed? It's the perfect kind of thing that I need for my Dragon Prince conversion!

It came from Max Mini. They have huge amounts of great bits and other stuff - it's worth checking their offer.

Hi everybody!
Well, there has been no update since october last year, what makes me really sad as I had again another long break due to a freash start at university of technology.
However, I'm gonna start some new painting projects next week, so I will try to post many new updates during hooliday time:)
First one will be a new BSB for my army, mounted on lion.
I occured that a filler of my white lion's unit (at previous page if you want to check) is better then many standard bearers which I face againts me at tournaments, so I decided to make a new center piece of my army.
Especially when the VIIIed. is coming and BSB will be very important.
Lothern sea guards are going to be useful in number even over 20, so it's high time to paint them. I have 12 Ved. sea guards - they are great!, but it's still too few.
Stay tuned:)

Hey, just joined the board, in part because I am starting HE (windfall opportunity landed me 40 sword masters, 5 dragon princes, 50 spearmen, teclis, korhil, tyrion, alith, 2 lion chariots, 2 bolt throwers, a prince on dragon, and a case for 60 bucks), but also to ask how you did that marvelous flesh on the mage.

Galharen can you go into detail on how you did the lion and the furs the elves are wearing? This is the exact look I want for my lions and the men. I might do a little darker with the blues, but how did you do that lion and the pelts? What colors did you use, what did you prime/base it with etc. No such thing as too much detail here lol.

Very good idea... Caradryan is an awesome model, but the position of his blade is little "photogenic" and you have fixed it in a very good way,

Well, the conversion is very simple, so cool down;) I prefer lords with swords than spears, or helberds, but it's just my thought;p
I want to give him some dark atmosphere, last stand style or so with dragon freehand on the back.
I'm wondering, however ,about painting the cloak on pure white to make some contrast - what do you think about it?

Hi, just a small update, I will be painting something more this night.
I hope also, that this time I took a better photo on which the colors of the armour are more like in real.
Still I can't decide on color of robes ;/

Awesome, a white cloak would be nice, especially if you added a little freehand piece.

Ahhh! Very nice!
Although, the pictures of the white lions are broken- and i very much want to see them!

I am very impressed with your work- you've made me want to paint things, and just spend hours, until they look even half good.

Keep up the good work! :)
None should question the will of Asuryan!

Very nice. The source lighting and reflections are great, particularly on the black part of the helm.

Nice work so far. Will you put the highlights where the flash put them then? It really looks good.
