well ive done a bit more to the mage, got the front of the cloak finished off, picture isnt great though and its removed quite a bit of the shading that ive done and is a bit too zoomed in, may use a friends lamp tomorrow and see if that improves the images as this image isnt very flattering.

just a quick update on the mage, have finished the image on the back of the cloak, which i eventually decided on being a phoenix, it took me a long time to decide what it should be. Anyway still need to shade the purple on the cloak, but thought it would be worth putting a pic up of the WIP.
once ive finished the cloak ill attempt to take a better quality picture.
p.s thanks swift i am proud of the SH's and the cape is my pride and joy right now. :D
p.p.s CM yes it is all NMM, its getting easier with practice

Loving the mage, I agree, you should definitely enter something competitive wise. If you dont mind me asking, what are the gem colours? I think they might fit better than my current green gems.

the gems are the old scaly green that i found lying around, just lightened with white, quite simple really.
It would be nice to enter a competition, i will consider it for the future.

...if i could paint like that I wouldnt sell my minatures lol.
For the dwarfs, there was only this. Hammerson met Grombrindal’s gaze, and the White Dwarf nodded slowly. If it must be done, let it be done well. Whether they were dead or alive, that was the only way dwarfs knew how to do anything.

And Grombrindal said "10 from the back, yeah?"

well ive got to the point now where ive realised that i just enjoy painting for the sake of it. At the moment im just trying out painting as many different models as I can, generally going for the ones that I think look good. currently im giving some 40k models a try.

Cheekily I painted one of my housemates big orc meks he'd left lying around, then I got myself some sanguinary guard, which are some of the new blood angels, simply because I think they look stunning. Both these models required a lot of metallics which ive never really done before, but i think they came out great. Got a nice box of space wolves to do now!
So Pictures.

Now that is indeed something different. :) Good job. I especially like the power weapons! Maybe I'll try something similar for a magic sword in WFB. Just a bit darker.

Hello all... Basically using this thread to show anything I paint, unfortunatly high elves have moved to the back of the que as ive found I really enjoy painting 40k. As mentioned in my last post I got me some space wolves, and here is them all painted up, also got some tanks on the way, so should be a good force soon. It does turn out that im still not fantastic at taking pictures yet.

Once finished i will be selling off the whole army on ebay, so if you want a high quality 40k army this'll be the place to look. When Ive finished I'll also try and take some better quality pictures of the whole bunch to put up.
