1rst chariots of quatar
my first chariot unit for my tomb kings army.
Re: 1rst chariots of quatar
you might want to put a few dollars down for a kit of Games Workshop Washes.
They are very easy to use and truly enhance the look of your army with no effort.
Gryphonne Sepia Wash used on Bone-like colors, badab black giving a dirty look to metals...
Also your Chariot horses are not fully painted, inside the ribcage we can clearly still see unpainted plastic grey.
Might want to touch that up.

1) Then you're doing something wrong. Are you diluting it like Water:Wash 10:1?noble eldias wrote:hey silver. thanks for the comments.

2) Before varnishing you should REALLY check your models man. Srsly.

Might be too much lighting in the pictures haha, they look very bright if they are indeed washed.

Re: 1rst chariots of quatar
well, its wash then bleach bone, the wash is mainly meant for the recesses.
Re: 1rst chariots of quatar
you should try the opposite, the wash goes into the depths of the miniatures anyway, but gives a more uniform look to it all, slightly altering the bone color, which is where I prefer Gryphonne Sepia
Here's an exemple on Bones, where I applied "Dheneb Stone" Foundation paint, applied some "Dheneb Stone" + "Skull White" as highlights, and then washed it all.

Its just an exemple, but I think the way I've managed to paint them and wash them gave an excellent bone-like result.
You might want to experiment a bit with this, the Wash should be applied before highlights, not just as a mean to reach the deepest details.

No, no, no! That's the total wrong way. That'll have no effect sorry
You put the bleached bone on, then the wash!

Re: 1rst chariots of quatar
thats what silver said. i replied to it. and actually it does have an effect. if you look most of the recesses are darker.
Re: 1rst chariots of quatar
I guess you could try mixing paint with some PVA type glue to cover these areas.noble eldias wrote:oops! can't help it when the spray primer resists my will. besides, thier varnished, nothing i can do now.
The glue when it dries should be tinted by the paint and be able hold onto the varnish in the unfinished areas.
