So I've only had a few games, here are my findings sofar.

Infantry hordes are kickass, even elven infantry hordes.

High elf infantry is quite tough.

Sure spearmen are no ubertroops, but dont sneer at them. Put them in cover, give them an archmages 6+ save.. Have another unit close by so you get that extra moral boost. And they will take alot damage before going down.

Breaking the enemy.

Morale in this game is all about shock.

You will not battleshock the enemy through slow grinds.

You need to hit with as much force on a single enemy unit as you can.

The more damage you can do in one turn, the better.

This is where flanking comes in to play, in order to get those hard hitters into contact they have to come in from the sides or back.

Ofcourse do what ever you can to stop those hard hitters.

Shooting.

Shoot at basic troops to bring down those bonuses they get from being certain numbers. Sometimes all you need is one dead.

Shoot at shock troops to bring down their amount of attacks and thus the battleshock it can make.

Shoot at those units blocking your shock troops from making the flank charges.

Swordmasters.
Keep them in the second line, ready to counter attack, because they will be charged by enemy cavalry.
