Scarano's Defenders of Ulthuan

#1 Post by Scarano »

Hello all,

I'm relatively new around these parts, but been as I'm a blogger on blogspot, I thought I might give plogging a go on here.
I'm also new to the world of Fantasy, started Wargaming a few years ago, (collected when I was a kid, but just used get all my unpainted toys out and line them, and then put the all
Away again.
I'm usually a Historical player (started back with 40k but that drained the life out of me). A few weeks ago a good mate persuaded me to use one of his armies and have a game against his WOC.
I loved it, but mainly for the reasons from the modelling aspects. Not having to stick to the historical colours, and the realm of conversions is endless, and this make me happy. :D

So I've started High Elves (had them when I was a kid, little bit of nostalgia really)
None of my friend play HE so I came on here to get list advice, a lovely chap that goes by the name of Teledor helped me find exactly what I was looking for:

Being a week willed individual, instead of sticking to ones thing at a time time, I have detoured.
I have been working on Griffin from the IoB box the last two days. I have some green stuff work to for a friend, and I am a little rusty after 10 days holiday.

Some leg cutting and re-glueing happening to day. To be able to have him pushing him self off a column.

*Edit*
And here is the column and finished product. Just need to magnetise. And mount the column on a 50x50.

Maybe a bit more vine work, I had to stop as I was spoiling it with clumsy fingered. :@
