Awesome. I hope you slept well the last few days, because you won't for awhile. Changes everything, but for the better.

Congrats! And Shannar is right. Sleep will be an illusion. Getting a kid a very effective way of proving that 8*1 != 1*8...

It's an awesome time though, those first months (I'm starting to feel old now, and my kid is only 13 months...). So much changes both for you and in your kid. Enjoy it!

My son is 13. Like the guys said, it'll be tougher than you ever thought but literally opens up a whole new world.

On the other hand, I've found a lot of the things quite easy as well. It's hard, physically and emotionally. Mainly because of lack of sleep. But you learn a lot of the things quite fast until they become second nature. The good part is that initially a kid doesn't do much. So you only have to worry about keeping it clean and fed and see that it sleeps. And you slowly go from there.

Thanks everyone! :D

Since we've been home, he's been really good - eating well, sleeping well ... until last night.

For some reason, he just wasn't happy. At. All. he was fed, clean, swaddled, wife and I took turns holding him, burping him, rocking him, skin to skin contact ... finally he fell asleep and I crawled into bed, realizing I had to get up in 4 hours for Easter breakfast.

The good news is, when it wasn't my turn at bat, I assembled a model! :D Figured I wasn't going to sleep anyway, might as well be productive while I awaited my turn ...
