Merry Christmas (not quite to late here) everyone.

No models, but my brother and his wife did get me a rather nice magnifying visor for painting to try out. At my age anything that might save the eyes a bit of strain is worth a try.

I'm curious about this too. I think every previous year there's been a flood of people talking about what they got models wise and then a slow trickle as those models start appearing on the painting/modelling pages.

This year?

We've not had that flood and I don't know if we'll have that trickle. This is supposed to be the biggest time of the year for GW but I just don't see it being a big season for them this time. I think in itself it's little more than a temperature check, but it is symptomatic of the end being near...

I still regret not buying the flamethrower when they had them in. Or was that Aldi?

An old friend of mine got something similar.

I got four Beasts of Nurgle (Three French Hens?)!

Presumably GW are busy flogging Space Marines.

No miniatures for me but I got two great boardgames: Evolution and The Grizzeled. Had a blast playing those with the family (might have been a bit more tricky to get everybody together for a Skaven vs Tomb Kings pitched battle ;P).

Hope all you guys had a great time as well!
cheers, Lee

I love boardgames :) I'm really lucky my family like them too:

-I got Terra Mystica and the Fire and Ice expansion
-I got my brother both expansions for the village and carcassonne hills and sheep
-I got my mum the UK version of TTR
-And I got my girlfriend the Swiss version

I got them all some other bits too of course :)

Actually if there are any doctor who fans in then you may well like one of the other gifts I got my girlfriend. She's a big fan so I asked my mum to teach me how to knit and for the last 5 weeks I've been busy working away making her a 16 foot scarf; Needless to say she loves it!!

I can't believe that banner is still in existence. It must be years since we had those sub sections

Though late, I still wish everyone here a Merry Christmas :) And, in advance, a happy New Year!

I mainly got books for Christmas. But I did get 2 GW gift vouchers for my birthday, which was a week earlier. So, time to start figuring out what to get with them. Of course, I'm open to suggestions.

Also, no boardgames this year. Must be a bad gaming year in the Netherlands this year... ;)

I may have just bought myself a table-ready, fully painted, fully magnetised beastman army...

Edit: that'll be all my games budget for the decade spent then!
