Zanza is my cat. WAS my cat. For the past three years, we've shared our lives. She's a friendly one, and always managed to cheer me up with her playful antics. Hell knows I didn't intend on parting with her, but today I had to cut the chord. I've been forced to relocate quite suddenly, and it soon became apparent that I likely wouldn't be able to take her with me. I shut myself off from those fears back then, trying to focus on my grades. But today, as I delivered her at the pound, I felt like a traitor. Not only to her, but also to myself. Zanza was arguably the best thing that's ever happened to me - it might sound ridiculous but I love her more than any human I can think of - and I just surrendered her to some unknown fate. It all seems so worthless now, so empty and silent. I might have passed my exams but I'll never hear her meowing again when I put the key in my front door. Nor will her purring ever again wake me up.
In all my 26 years I have never, never felt such profound grief. I never cried at the death of any family member, there's been exactly one girl that's bothered me enough to weep over, but losing Zanza, like this... I can't seem to stop the tears from coming, it's insane. I feel like a broken man.
Anyways, thanks to you who managed to read this far. Sharing isn't really my thing, but I just couldn't keep this inside

Re: Zanza
So sad to hear.
I've got a pet myself, an old Coton de Tuleár that probably haven't got many years left either. He's twelve years old, and I'll be happy to have him for another three: they seldom get any older than that.
When the day comes, I'm pretty sure I'll be as devastated as you are now.

Everytime you talk about the dog on msn, you want to strangle it . You also refer to it as "the bastard" .EricJ wrote:So sad to hear.
