Hey all,

Well a few years ago I built my army for a major event that never should. It sucked, and the pick up event had no comp-nothing( more less show up and base each other). In the end I was really bent, as well I found out a new dex was on its way out. Another blow to my hobby exp, so with all the smacks I left GW for awhile now. I've thought about returning and so I looked up to see if the event was playing any more. It turns out that it's in less than a month away.

Here is what I have with out the current dex. Does it have the ability to be transformed into the new dex in less than a month???

Anything worthwhile?

I don't think you'll be on the cutting edge of the meta but I don't see why not. Big block of core archers with a shadow arch mage and support from chariots and DPs would be my list. As I said it isn't amazing but it should be fun and could be competitive.

At this point I still need the codex. Thought looking at other list around this point total. I will be able to run something in line with this.

2 eagles

3x5 DP or a bus

3x lion chariots

Now with the lost of three lion chariots that nets me about 450 points ish. So I am looking at adding in either sword masters or white lions


Any thought as to what I should buy next?

Well lets have a look it should be posible to make a list with models you have.


Lets start with a Giant blade Prince go with alle the dragon Princes you have.

Prince @ 263
Giant blade, dawnstone, enchanted shield. Heavy armour, barded elven steed.

And a mage

Archmage (High) @ 320
4. Level. Talisman of preservation, Book of hoeth.

Newer leve home without a scroll and seering doom is so nice to have.

Last a BSB in the unit with the archmage.

I am in a bit of doubt if you should to go with 10+5 Princes or one big unit of 15 but i take with 3 lion chariots and all those Archers chaff should not be a problem.

- you can play with this list, it is simple but not bad. You have loads of light shooting to clear chaff, strong magic and a big scary unit of Princes who will give field controle with its range and a massive charge.
If you are up for a little shoping and painting a frostheart phoenix would be a good adition to the list (take out 2 of the lion chariots) but that is all that is needed.

Why do you prefer a halberd over a great weapon?

I have the book now and am working on a list. I really wish I had standard white lions as this would fit more in line with my army theme.

Most people who prefer halberd do so because greatweapons give ASL, which means we strike at initiative and don't get rerolls to hit.

It's a tough call either way, do you want better accuracy or better anti-armor?
