Talifan's Sapherian Defenders

I decided to follow in the foot steps of some of the best painters and customizers I have ever seen and create an Army blog. This blog will tell of how I got into Warhammer 13 years ago, and how my playing style and army has evolved until the release of 8th Edition.
I started Warhammer in the 5th edition where it was as it is now, based on percentages. I was to young and lived to far away to learn how the game was really played, as a 3 hour drive every weekend from Stanthorpe in the Queensland outback in Australia to Brisbane is not an easy drive. I got my first models for Christmas in 1999, a box of High Elf Warriors consisting of 4 Spearmen and 4 archers as well as 2 blisters of Reavers. I still have the Spearmen and Archers...sold my reavers when I realised they had no place in my army with my playing style.
Over 2 years I amassed a force of models that I liked. Once back in Edmonton and able to play games, my force grew substantially. At the end of 7th Edition I had 6000 pts including 2 dragons.
Over the course of 7th edition I played multiple games every weekend, using my blocks of spearmen and sword masters to smash what was left of units after my 2 units of 10 archers and 3 RBT's were done softening them up.
It was in the last 2 years that my force found its true calling. After checking out allot of the army blogs on ulthuan.net, I can say with a great amount of certainty that my force is based around large blocks of Spearmen and blocks of Elite units.
My force has played 2 successful games in the last week with amazing results. The battle reports can be seen here:

The details about what happened in the turns are at the bottom of the pictures in the "description" area.
I will admit that I really do enjoy large blocks of spearmen and am looking at purchasing another 105 spearmen to up my current 3 units of 20 and 1 unit of 15 to 35/36 models each. I am also looking at expanding my Dragon Princes and Silver Helms from a single unit of 8 each to 2 units of 10 at the least, while also gaining another 35 Sword Masters to create 2 units of 30 for heavy hitting slaughterfests!
I am no where near as good at painting as the others, but I personally like the colour scheme I am using and like how they turn out as they look amazing together on the field of battle. My ultimate goal in the next year is to expand my force to 10,000 pts. To do this I need more core, Special and Rare units. As my force grows in size, as will my battle reports and the experimentation of how to best use such a large force effectively.
Pictures will be posted once a camera can be found that works in my house hold. My current list of models and units available to me are:
Tyrion
Teclis
Prince on Star Dragon

Prince on foot
Prince on Pegasus
