Help for slender High Elves models
Hello everyone,
I'm interested in starting the High Elves but I'm not really fond of the models, I find them to short and not enough slender and delicate fir High Elves. I love the V6 and V7 army books illustrations and I'd like to have models that look somewhat similar. But I don't know what to do, because even if have painted for four years now, I'm not brilliant with Greenstuff and I don't have the money to make an entire army out of Shadow Warriors and Dragon Princes models. So I ask your help to find a solution.
Thanks

RP is a very old brand. I do not see the models 'live' very often, but they do meet you criteria, I think.

Gamezone is a Spanish alternative for GW. They can lo very good, but I hear the casts need work.

Mantics are cheap as chips and the Elves no the best of the pruducer, but they are slender (though short as well).

Meh, I'm not really convinced, what I'm searching is more a way to make the figures look more like the illustrations, more delicate and a bit less baroque. But thank for your help, it's really appreciated.

Lotr elves is the only good alternative. Find heads that fit them and you are good to go

That's probably the best way to go.Botjer wrote:Lotr elves is the only good alternative. Find heads that fit them and you are good to go

Mantic might suit your aesthetic? They're not to my taste but they match the description of slender elves to a T.

You might think of The Russian Alternative as well, very peculiar, but in Elves they have only 2 heroes and a set of spears.

You might combine those with the recent Archer model one of the forum members had made.

Moreover Have you checked here?

Otherwise you should look for old fifth ed. models. They are better proportioned and slender. That will cost time and money.

I would also check out the LoTR elf models. They're slightly smaller then WH models. But mainly a lot more slender and elf like.

Re: Help for slender High Elves models
You could make them a bit taller by adding some waist, just cover it up with a sash of greenstuff

Re: Help for slender High Elves models
I think I will try to make the actual models look better with some kitbashing and greenstuff, it will be a good challenge to.
Thank you very much for your help,

Well, i think kabalite warrior legs might still work in fantasy. Add to that say... spearmen upper bodies and you might be able to make som slanky warriors. Ofcourse you dont get any scalemail skirts

Someone on here did some fantastic sculpting to accomplish the same thing. I don't remember who, or what the thread was called though.

That was the one. I didn't realize how long it had been since I last saw it. Crazy how time passes.
