Tufts!

#1 Post by RE.Lee »

Hi all!

I'm thinking about tufts for my Chaos army. I've used the Citadel Mordheim Turf so far for my Elves and Empire but I'd like to mix things up a bit. The Middenland Tufts, again from Citadel, are an option but I haven't seen them live. They seem a bit darker - has anyone used them? Army painter is another chioce, they have a wide range of tufts but they vary in quality from what I read online. I'd likely go for the winter style ones, but any experience with the product would be welcome.

Thanks!
cheers, Lee

Make a (or cheat and buy one) static grass applicator, and make your own.

I haven't used too many grass tufts myself, but I'd say look around for Silflor tufts. AFAIK it's the railway scenery brand that started the craze, before GW and Army Painter jumped on it.

I got one of these about a year ago. Still have to do anything with it.

Turns out Silflor is largely unavailable, though I did come across some nice Noch ones. I'm leaning towards the Army Painter Frozen Tufts right now. I also like their Steppe Grass.
