I have also painted 5th ed Alarielle.
I'm not happy with her though!

Image

Also I have here a random converted Mage.
Most likely used as a Dragon Mage who's lost his reptilian friend :-(

And also I have some Archers painted up.
I'm so glad these are over with!

Again, does the occasional orange work?

Here's some WIP Reavers.
These guys are so detailed, it's killing me!

And here's some mounted lion characters I've knocked up out of bits.

Those character conversions are very nice, I think not giving us White Lions as mounts is a bit of a missed opportunity (I was bewildered when they surfaced as an elf ally pulling chariots, but now I kind of like the idea) - models such as these deserve rules to represent what they are! Cheers for sharing :)

Cheers for the nice comments guys :)

Here's some Silver Helm Conversions...
What do you think? I've had negative feedback generally!

The Knights conversions you've got there could work if you made them into Reavers. They don't look heavy enough to be Silver Helms in my opinion. But they certainly look light and nible enough to be reavers, but would require a bit of a kitbashing to get the armour looking "light"
:D

Very nice dragon. I'm using the Carnosaur (Star Dragon) and Bastiladon (Cave Dragon - used as Moon Dragon) as base models for dragons and it's good to see other people converting alternative models.

I agree with NexS that the Stags may make better Reavers than Helms, though the paint job may tie the bits together a bit more.

Cheers for all the feedback guys – I have decided to sell the Stags…
It doesn’t work out too great for me to have all those models lol!

But I am replacing my old 7th Edition SpearElves!
Here I’ve bought the new Eternal Guard models  put the Tiranoc Charioteer heads on them.
I think they look much better than the High Elf Spears, & are superb models!

Image

I’ve also painted up a Sea Helm & a Loremaster (of Chrace!).
I just need to finalise highlights & gems.
Also to paint words in to the Loremaster’s book!

Hi guys, it's been a while, but with real life finally cooling down, I have found time to paint these elfy b*stards.

I've been painting the Sword Masters, some foot characters, bolt throwers, the IoB Griffon, a Reaper Griffon & some cavalry.

Basing is well underway;
& I've just purchased an oop Teclis, which I'm dying to paint.

Beyond painting Tecky & 2 other wizards, I have the last of my core to paint (10 Silver Helms & 5 Reavers) :(
Only then will I move on to my PG, DP & WL

Everything is coming along quite well! I'm really impressed with your high level of execution on both the conversions and the paint jobs. Thanks for sharing.

hey

Have been watchin the dragon progess and must say i do love the idea it makes the dragon larger then before however my only think i dont like is that head seems to me its still very lizardmen or even something tyranid esk......i personally would of used the carnosaur head or even the neck/head of the high elf dragon which wud add length to the neck make it look larger again, but other then that its certainly a very interesting cool conversion.

cheers

Hi there!
Cheers for the comments :)

I actually looked in to different heads:
The High Elf Dragon head was actually too small to fit on to the Carno/Troglo body, & the neck not thick enough :-(

Also IMO, the Carno head looks too much like a Dinosaurs. It's small too, quite stout & doesn't look "Dragon" to me.

I chose to keep the Troglo head as it fit, & could pass as a Dragon's head. Even if it's a more "Chinese" looking Dragon!

I've had this discussion with my friend, & we came to the conclusion that... It's a Lizardman model with wings added...
It's gonna give a lizardman vibe! Haha!
when it's finished with more High Elf bits, maybe you'd feel differently :)

And also some MORE stuff to paint!
The Alith Anar model is for an upcoming fluff-oriented tournament.

Consider your Lion Eagle stolen! Brilliant idea and funny part is that they have pretty similar statline.
High Elves since Aug 2010: Tot /W / L / D - 100 / 75 / 23 / 2
Tomb Kings since Sep 2013:Tot / W / L / D - 31 / 18 / 12 / 1

Cheers guys :D
Steal away btw - I thought this idea would've been done by now!
Happy to be a trend-setter!

The Spearmen came from apathy over the HE models...
Then coincidentally the Eternal Guard models were released

Here's my Spellsinger that I used in my Khaine list at a recent tournament (I finished 10th [out of 50!]).
He can also be used as a Life / Beast mage I guess!

Here I have the Tiranoc Chariots complete with the riders:

Here's my Teclis, Great OWL! the Spellsinger again & Alarielle with her White Lion guardians.
Unicorn Filler!

I see some tree stumps lying around on some of the larger bases (Bolt Throwers, Chariots etc). What are those? They look really good

Those are simply bits of twigs that I've picked up when walking through the park.
I left them to dry out, & that's it!
obviously painted them before gluing to the base.

I wanted a "natural" look, & the leaves/logs really great for this :)
