Odd numbers doesn't mean anything with the way this is organised.

Gizmos, I'm not a great painter but I just want to paint something different for a change, develop my skills and have fun making a unique model. It's as selfish as that! :D I don't expect to receive a masterpiece - all I want is that my santa has as much fun as I will. :)

I'm still in, and still excited. Although it's nearly all going to be done around my uni work (obviously). But sometimes I just need to convert and paint to de-stress. I'm in Sydney, so if I happen to be paired up with someone who's coming to/lives in Sydney. I could possibly play against them with said miniature.

You know what, it may just be the effects of the birthday night out I have just returned from (my birthday btw), but screw it im in. I loved watching people post their secret santas last year. I will flesh out my official thing tomoz, if thats okay. GB time its only just sunday morning. I will also update my plog to help anyone who gets me as theres. Heres to a rocking christmas, although I have a model to do for my bro first, but that has to be done before august 31st, so should be plenty of time for this.

EDIT: by tomoz I technically mean today, but after I have slept. Soo in about 8 or so hours.

EDIT: Sorry its late,

Name:Gizmos
Armies :Warhammer High Elves, theme being from the isle of dusk. Dark reds and blues for robes etc. Black for wood colours. Purple and dark green accent colours. More bronze than gold. Examples can be seen in my plog.

Currently I am missing any sort of battle standard bearer or anything flying. Would love to receive any sort of freehand work as mine is a bit ropey, or a filler or objective markers. Or whatever takes your fancy.

40K, Tau dark green and cream (can be seen in my plog). Only got like 3 models painted in my tau army so far. So anything goes.

Yay, :D More people.

I feel really intimidated with all of these amazing painters here. Therefor I shall have a new motto: If you can't beet them, convert them.

Some excellent painters involved!! I can't wait to get started.

Just wanted to put this out there. I'm away until mid October and as such do not have any examples of how my new armies will look. Is this going to be a major issue?

I think it might only be an issue for you if you REALLY want your gift to match your armies. If you're okay with vague approximation, or just receiving something cool it shouldn't be a problem. Just be as clear as you can be about what you're after. Most people have been pretty vague and open on their requests.

I'm in too. Tinman has persuaded me to join.

I have high elves, Nurgle woc. Not looking for anything in particular, but a weird single model for chaos would be cool.

I can do any GW mini in return (single figure). I'd have fun converting something too, so not many limits.

Live in US, can ship to US and Canada.

In response to Tinman, I'm not participating this year. I'll remain on the side as an impartial judge and just join in the friendly banter I'm expecting to occur. Organising is work enough. And I realy do need to get some of my own stuff painted up (I'm hoping to finish 26 PG this month somewhere).

@Ele: Glad you like it. Pretty sure you can do some nice things for your SS.

@Everyone else: as you might have guessed from Ele's post, Secret Santas have been sent out. Please check to make sure I haven't send you 2 SS's or that I've send you your own name. Also, please send me your address so I can start making sure you can actually receive a gift. Except if you've already done so (as is the case with a very enthousiastic participant ;) ). Once is fine... I'll start sending those out somewhere next week or so I think.

Pairings were done completely at random. As far as I could tell, most people were fine with sending pretty much everywhere. And this way it saved me an awfull lot of time.
