ItaliaDracula Painted Army:NEW UPDATE-SwordMasters of Hoeth

#1 Post by ItaliaDracula »

Hi

this is my 20 man unit of Dark Elves Black Dragon Archers - they seek all the Dark Elves Dragons to kill them

in fact you can notice a Dragon Head on the topo of unit standard and the man carrying a dragon pelt on thei back

i mixed the archers/spearmen kit and the Black corsairs plastic kit to make them

hope you'll like them

Very nice! =D>

I especially like the stonework. Both on the bases and on the pillar to the rear. I can't wait to see more!

Good grief those Dragon Hunters are amazing

Did you have troubling lining up the Corsair torsos with the Archer legs? I tried combining them with the Spearmen ones and I couldn't get it to work :(

Holy freehand, Batman. Nicely done!

Edit: Do you have a rough idea of how much time you spent on each model/unit?

Wow, you sure can paint terrible models (plastic archers and spearmen)and make them look absolutely fantastic. Great concept and execution throughout. Top notch army for sure.

Very nicely done. I imagine those dragon archers could do double duty as shadow warriors without much complaint.

Those are some beautifully painted models! The level of detail is amazing and the freehand (especially the bits on the archers' robes) is out of this world - I wish I could paint like that. The fact that you have 2 limited edition BSB's makes me even more jealous...

I love it. They are incredibly unique, but there are enough traditionally "high elf" aspects still there that they remain asur. :)

It is really rare to see this quality of work on this scale. In terms of methodology, are you more of an assembly liner or one-at-a-timer?

Absolutely brilliant painting! The dark paint scheme is a tricky one, but you nailed it. The dragon hunters are really awesome. Keep the good work up.
