Probably my last update in the next month, due to the soon birth of my son!
So the dragon will be put on hold… again…. I come to thinks that, that is what dragons painting is all about…. Putting them on hold….

I was pushing these princess, to finish them befor the birth. They are practically finished.. some gems on the banner man… and some small work on the banner itself… but i think it post worthy. I hope U 2, critics are more then welcome

I started to paint these mini's actually as one of the first when I got back into the hobby...2012. Started with the champion. I stopped rather fast….. In May I painted them multiple times in the week. Very happy with the results, just as i pictured them. All different, they r princes, so no uniform. But similar enough 2 make a unit.

The quality is superb Peepster, bold use of colour.

I really like the contrasting flag and it's Chinese-looking Dragon.

They are definitely post-worthy. I really like them. The red and green makes them feel very traditional. And the champion looks very fiery :)

As for the banner... =D>

So after changing my workstation and diluting all my paint, last step I bought a Airbrush. Just Yesterday… gonna need some time to get used to it… not easy…. Probably takes me a year or so.
I bought the infinity from Harder&Steenbeck (Germany company) because I can change the needle size of it (range 0,15-0,4 mm). Practicing with the 0,4 mm first…….

Well that’s a long time ……. Having a baby is apparently quiet a time-drain….allis good though and slowly some hobby time is emerging…..
I have been spying on ulthuan now and the, sad to see activity is down.

No/very little painting, the small time lift is spend on playing X-wing. I really like that game. And to my big surprise/delight FFG is making a miniature wargame with the “x-wing dial” system…. RuneWars, miniature game
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/n ... ures-game/

Hopefully a chance to play with the elves again! Caus they are stand in the display case being sad……
For now some x-wing and skaven painting to get into shape again. And hopefully finally start practicing with the airbrush.

Image
and again...i start a painting a ship, and FFG brings one out just the same... well 2 sabines

Image
the horrible paint job of the ghost, so had to change it, WiP, suggestions? whole new world painting SF bomder insteadof aelves

Image
And i whipout a small conversion... like old times

An other thing I like to plug is an app a Dutchman is making, Wip to be released. An app to find gamers in your area…..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwDjgkewXVg

hopefully I start getting new painting pics out on more regular basis..

The x-wing models look great. Nice to hear FFG are releasing a fantasy game. Their games tend to be well put together. So it's worth looking into a bit further.

The skaven are lovely (if that can be said about skaven models). I am wondering about the bases. They at the moment look very different. Is that because they're still WiP?

And yes, babies are a very efficient time-drain :)

Looking good!

FFG's leap into the wargaming is quite interesting but CMONs counter-offensive with the Song of Ice and Fire is even more exciting! Good times for the community, despite all that's happened.
cheers, Lee

It's been the same for at least a year I think. As good as can be expected, considering the fracturing of the Warhammer community and the hammer-blow that dealt to race-specific sites in general. Around 10 posts today, Monday was 20+? Actually not bad for this kind of forum ATM.

Indeed. It's fun to see all sorts of companies leaping into the gap that the sudden disappearance of WH created. People didn't stop wanting to play a fantasty wargame. And now a lot of companies are trying to get a share. Interesting to see who will end up on top.

New project finish!!
One of my tabletop-world houses; the blacksmith
http://www.tabletop-world.com/index.php

Been working on it for quite a while, very happy with the result. The base was done with airbrush so good start there. Still need a lot of practise with the air brush.
New background cloth, needs to be adjusted… what do you think of the colour?

U can also paint the inside of the great house models... but i took a pass... maybe later... maybe..

I really like it. Both the model and the paintjob. A nice, earthy look with some very subtle details in there. The windows for instance are very nicely done.

How big is the house in comparison to a WH model?
