Ive got to say, I really like your elves, they definately look very noble, they make me want to try a cream/gold scheme for a character of mine

Beautiful work mate nice depth to colour scheme which is amazing considering the limited palette

I like the colourscheme, it's nice and original. Also, the paint job is very neat and the details are where they should be, so well done :D

This color scheme is unique. It seems kind of angelic honestly. Very nicely done.

Love those elves, agree that they look angelic and noble :) Can I ask what colours you used for the cream? I'm using a cream and blue scheme and that creme is perfect :)

Badass. Simple but effective.

Makes me want to strip my white and blue models. :)

Technically, nothing wrong with them, but I'm not fond of the colour scheme myself. :) Some contrasting colours on the characters especially would be awesome. Have you thought of adding some freehand to the cloaks on the heroes and mages? The purple gems are ace though!

Lovely, even though my Elves are of a darker theme, i am very fond of your high, noble looking elves. Im reading Defenders of Ulthuan at the moment, and these are the elves I imagine to be in it. Offtopic but man, Eltharion is one grim piece of work in that book, him and Alith Anar would be good friends if they had time for friends.

@aderyn not to much time no. the army there is about 4 months work, working around work/life. i do paint quickly tho. for instance in February i've built an painted another bsb on foot, 21 spears and 2 chariots. i am working to a different tournament deadline every month so getting lots done

@sturen the cream/white colour is...

undercoat white
wash recesses desert yellow
wash recesses leviathan purple
wash recesses devlan mud
quick blend/layer up from scorched brown to desert yellow to pure white
pure white final highlights

@elaithnir yeah i plan to add freehand. at the moment i'm just trying to get everything painted on time tho from tournament to tournament, when i have a month where i dont have anything new i need to paint i plan to go back and detail things more.

So simple, but so very good. You have done wonders. You have the only non TK cream-ish colored army I have seen and it is fantastic.

I like them! So haughty, so high elves! Ik think the best example are the characters AND the Dragon Princes. These guys are just like... otherworldly etheral in this scheme

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of that colour scheme, it's too white. But I LOVE those faces. Those elves really look mysterious and "aliensish", especially with those eyes. Good job!

I also hate white colour schemes but this isnt white its cream. That sounds like I'm being pedantic but the difference is incredible.

The standard scheme of 'pick a colour to contrast and do the army using that and white' was how I painted mine years ago but I always thought it looked lame I'm now leaning towards doing an army using lots of cream colours. The reason is I think elves are most suited to pastel colours, but I disslike pink, scorpian green and blue. I also wouldnt want my army to look too 'fruity'.

This army is INCREDIBLE theres no other word for it. In terms of painting skill its not far short of pro standard, but in terms of colour scheme and imagination I would say its the best I have ever seen. It makes me desperately keen to start my own army up again, can't wait until I have some money :P

thanks guys.

i cant claim the idea was all mine though. it was inspired by the artwork of paul dainton such as Assualt on Lothern (see below) Paul is also the reason behind the all black eyes - if you check out his artwork throughout the army book you'll see them popping up time and again, think this is just so fitting, arrognant, self serving unnerving and un human - just right for high elves

Christ, those are amazing. I didn't think I'd like a pale/cream colour scheme, but you've definitely won me over with those.

Keep it up!
