Praise the Lord! Those are some fine highlights

I painted up some Elves as well, after a long brake - something is in the air, it seems
cheers, Lee

Very nice work! =D>
I think the unit will look really cool once finished.

Thanks guys, i hope i can make it faster and a little bit better as i go on with the unit. This one took almost 6 hours. Just painting 14 models and a hero on 40mm base but it all stack up to +80 hours. I already have a unit of 32 of the metal seaguard so i want these purely to improve the general aspect of the army. Will be beautiful once finished.

Great looking model. You haven't lost your skills yet. And it's always great to see you back on elves :) Here's to hoping you'll find some more time to paint. Having a young kid can take a lot of time and energy.

I got distracted from goblins and I'm doing elves. I'm confused.
I want to paint a small unit of the latest Seaguard, these will be the unit colours, though im going to be swapping them on each model to make them a little bit more fun to paint.
Looks great. But how are you going to find time to do a whole unit like that? The kid won't cooperate I promise haha. But, anytime you get more done I hope you show them. Should be a fantastic unit.

I like it. It feels like a very "midnight" colour scheme. The dark skies match the robes very well.

yes thanks, i wanted to add some of the new colours that ive tried on orcs to the army, but without abandoning the general turquoise/silver/gold scheme. I think is turning out an interesting combination this one.

Painting up the champion now, cant wait to have it done and going back home so i can put all of them together in the tray =).

I'll be very interested to see them done.

These are miles down on my own painting queue, but every time I look at what you've done I consider moving them up. Hopefully i continue to resist that urge, so please don't make the champion to nice

I finally completed the champion. Maybe i put too many colours on it, but i felt they were all necessary on this one. Eventhough i like my last 2 models i think my technique has been better on the musician, probably due to the crazy amout of overtime im doing at work. It is sad, but necessary, that job and life keep us away from our passions.

The 2 models ive managed to paint in a whole month :(

Very nice. You've done that model full justice. I was going to ask if you'd turned the flash on, but you already answered it. Looks great even with the flash though. When do we get to see unit pictures?

You didn't convince me that I have to more mine up the line though. I think you would have, but someone gifted me a box of forest goblins because he "wanted to see them get painted" and he wasn't going to get to it. So, those are top of my list.

I like him. He is indeed colorful. But I feel a unit champion can stand out a bit (same as a character model). So he'll be fine in the unit.

hey guys, i got the loremaster done except for the base, i tried something bold with the armour. The model is not so finely painted (even if it looks ok in pictures) as others, but i think its cool looking.

Im pondering if adding some stars to the blue cloak as in the original painted by GW. what do you think?

Very nice, the paintjob on the armour is superb. I'm a fan of plain cloaks, they look more "realistic". Its tempting to add stuff, in particular if you're showing off skill for a competition but I really like the simple look he sports now :)

Agreed on all of it, and specifically on the plain cloak. I often why folks in the warhammer world spent so much time on embroidery. Despite constantly under one threat or another one gets the impression that needle work is the top priority.

I imagine that fighting a warhammer campaign is quite a lot like flying. Long stretches of waiting around and sitting, slowly moving from A to B and then there are some short moments of excitement mixed in where, if something goes wrong it means certain death.

So, I'm guessing that the long stretches of sitting around are filled with an assortment of drinking, gambling and embroidery.

I like him. The armour especially is great. It makes him different from regular models. I am wondering if the fireball could use something more. It doesn't scream "FIERY DEATH" at me just yet.

This made me laugh. I thought your fireball was petty decent too. It's a pretty awkward sculpt really. When I finally paint mine I might give him a rock or a log to trip over.

Hey people. After a really long break of 10 months i managed to go back to painting this week. My plans for this year are to finish up elves (for real now) and working on my latest project, a wight kings/lich king army. I have to start from the very basics after so long so i went for esqueletons 1st until i feel confident enough to continue painting the seaguard unit i had only started off.
