That was then. . . this is now

#1 Post by Happy Scrappy Hero Pup »

Last year at the Necro GT, I managed to win best painted with this army:

But I've spent the last most of this year changing things up, and I present to y'all my army for this year's Necro: :D

Image

A few close-ups. . .

These guys started as a 5 man unit for a Warbands tourney:

As did these guys:

The champ in the middle is a spearman/noble hybrid:

These guys also began life as part of a Warband:

These guys were there last year:

And finally, this one got painted for a painting competition on this site:

Wish me luck this weekend!!

Good luck!

Great presentation on the whole army. Painting is fantastic. Looks like you went from heavy-magic to star dragon. It'd be pretty cool to hear your thoughts on how the two types of lists compare at the tournament.

Great stuff there, really amazing paintjob :)
I can't even say what I like the most, because the whole army is painted on very high level.
I can't wait your raport from GT.

Nice. I dunno though, there's something about the colours that doesn't hit right for me. I think it's cause they're against grey bases.

Good luck all the same though! They're clearly painted very well!

Good luck in the tournament!

The army looks fantastic. I have been trying to decide how I want my bases to look and was thinking of a gray rubble look as well. Can you inform myself and the rest of the forum what you used to create all the stone slabs under your models?

Nice! I'm working on a red/gold them myself, though I think my red is a bit deeper while yours is more fiery. Love it!

Forgive my threadomancy....

But can anyone tell me where the posts of his other army went?
Wasnt there also a "stickied" section with all the great High Elf armies in it? I cant find that either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, he had a more in-depth look at his first army. It was more White Lions. It was more than one pic. Perhaps he deleted it.
Thanks though.
