Pics of my army (soon to be sold off)

#1 Post by Shadrach »

Since I went ahead and took the pictures...I thought I'd post them. None of these are top-notch paint jobs, but they are in most opinions good-gaming-quality. I took these pictures since I am intending on putting these little guys up for sale soon...

You don't give yourself enough credit! Your army looks very, very nice. Great job on it. I can't believe you're going to sell such a fine looking army!

How long did it take you paint all of it and how many points is that army?

Cheers,
Jake

It's at least 3000 points, but points add up when you decide to add two dragons in! I had about three and a half months to paint most of this army, so I decided to go for overall impression... not individual detail. I wanted the colors to look misty and ancient, so I went with greys, blues and purples, and bronze - for a Classical effect. I don't know if it worked, but I like them.

I haven't 100% committed to selling yet, but I haven't played WFB in over a year, and frankly don't miss it too much. I've been playing a lot of guitar instead - so if anyone offers me a nice Martin or a Vox AC 30 for trade...

Thanks for the compliments though, always appreciated.

Geez, 3000 points, that's a pretty good size. The colors look very good and the entire army has a very subtle/aged look to it, which is what I believe you were going for.

That's a hard choice, I like both playing guitar and WHFB, tough call!
