#1 Post by Il Maestro »

For those of you that haven't seen them yet...

http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthrea ... urs/page83

They're about half way down the page, and damn some of them are looking nice!! Now to work out how to convert some of them for my dark elves...

Yea, not sure how to fit these guys into my Sea/Storm theme, blacks, greys, with lightning?

Unless the rules will be superbly thought through and written, I am very much afraid of the flying chariot...

The sword-mage looks like a Swordmaster champion or something... a lvl1 mage too perhaps?

I am also kinda afraid for the suggested MC... If we get drakes, we will have an equivalent of Mournfang Cavalry with more models (more impacts) with LD9 and 2+ Ward against Metal magic? Thats way too much!

Truthfully - I was afraid that we will get some "sea monster"... The rules are in the BRB yet no army has them and we, DE and Lizzies are the only armies with fluff to back them...

As for the phoenixes... well we need some smaller monster that does not cost like a dragon. My griffon is currently doomed as a dustcatcher. :-) But let's wait for the rules. I hope that we will not end like Grey Knights. Hell I don't want to end even like the new WOC with their unkillable lord or whatnot.

I would like to be competitive with my HE, but not OP so noone would want to play with me...

Loving the swordmaster mage. The other stuff is.... uninspiring and looks unelvish to me.
For the dwarfs, there was only this. Hammerson met Grombrindal’s gaze, and the White Dwarf nodded slowly. If it must be done, let it be done well. Whether they were dead or alive, that was the only way dwarfs knew how to do anything.

And Grombrindal said "10 from the back, yeah?"

I think that the colour scheme does that a lot and those pieces that overdid it - the helm "fins" on the hero, the HUGE mooncrest on the SM mage (it comes right off my model, I am telling you! :-)). Maidenguard is wonderful, but I don't like the colours. The Phoenixes - we will see... I am not impressed with the photo, but might be better in RL. And I kinda like the hero with halberd on the frost-phoenix or whatever that is... I wonder what the "icy bows" and "icicle arrows" on the archers mean...

I do not know... I can't get rid of the feeling that I have seen these pictures already but really years ago, however certain elements of the minis would sugest otherwise - like the feather sculpts on the eagles, which are only few years old... Its just an odd feeling. Might be my wishful thinking... I am really scared of the new book... :-)
