Painting the Flamespyre

What do you think a good color would be to spray paint (base?) the flamespyre?
White, Black or Red?

I could almost see white so you can end up with a nice bright flame. I plan to paint a frost one first so I can experiment on the bits so I'm sure of how I want my fire one.

Depends on how you want to paint it. If you want realistic flames, I agree with Shannar, white would be a good starting point as you use white on the innermost parts of it. If you want to reverse it and make the ends of the feathers the lightest (it is magical being, it doesn't have to follow the rules of mundane fire), then red if you want to be done quickly or black if you want good contrast.

I got the iBook and in that GW painted a basecoat of white then built up with washes and glazes.
