Its hit or miss, there are some armies you will defeat very easily, and some that will defeat you very easily... vampires, tomb kings, dwarfs, skaven, anything with the magic or firepower to bring your dragon down.
For the dwarfs, there was only this. Hammerson met Grombrindal’s gaze, and the White Dwarf nodded slowly. If it must be done, let it be done well. Whether they were dead or alive, that was the only way dwarfs knew how to do anything.

And Grombrindal said "10 from the back, yeah?"

Im saying the dragon is alot of points that easily can get swamped by hordes of static Cr, but as long as you pick your fights and never allow the Vampire or Khemir player outmanouver you, combo charge the weakest target and smash it, rince repeat.

If the opponent knows his armys strenghts he will keep his battle line tight, and hence wont allow you to break through without him getting in support charges.

But if your patient sooner or later a target will show it self.

My tip if you decide playing a star dragon prince, is to use the breath weapon first a few times before you go in for the kill, remove a few ranks, sowe some dissorder.

And try too allways put atleast on other character/champion in combat with the dragon, freshly raised champions is such a pain.

Im not saying its a liability. Sometimes it wins games on its own.

My point is that a star dragon's performance isnt consistent against different armies.
For the dwarfs, there was only this. Hammerson met Grombrindal’s gaze, and the White Dwarf nodded slowly. If it must be done, let it be done well. Whether they were dead or alive, that was the only way dwarfs knew how to do anything.
