My army fluff - characters & history of Houses Shadowfeather

#1 Post by deecee »

This is my army's background. It is still very much a work in progress, as some of the character only have a name so far. My plan for most of the characters is to expand on it as I play games and base the stories on things that happen within the games.

History of House Shadowfeather
House Shadowfeather is an old Cothique family, but it only came to power during the reign of Phoenix King Finubar. Dewydd's father was one of the noble's who sailed with Finubar on his journeys.

Characters of House Shadowfeather

Lords
Dewydd Shadowfeather - General
Dewydd is the Prince of House Shadowfeather. He has held the position for the last 50 years since his father’s death. For an elf he is young to be the head of a noble house being only two centuries old.

Loremaster Elwyn the Elusive
Elwyn is a trusted advisor who has been in the employ of House Shadowfeather for many years. Prince Dewydd is the third person that Elwyn has served in the capacity of advisor, the first being Dewydd's grandfather.

Elwyn has just returned from an expedition to the Badlands and has come away with a number of relics and a new name. He attained the name Elusive from his enemies as he was captured several times during the campaign and was able to escape his captors each time. (This story is based on a Blood in the Badlands campaign I fought and I rolled up Escaped on the injuries chart about 3 times over the campaign. By the end of it he was M6, S4 & T4)

Annwyn Shadowfeather – Archmage
Lady Annwyn is the wife of Prince Dewydd

Princess Elspeth Goldfeather
Elspeth is Dewydd’s sister

Lord Dylan Goldfeather - Archmage
Dylan is Elspeth’s husband and was the second son of his house

Heroes
Gwilym Shadowfeather – Battle Standard Bearer
Gwilym is the bearer of the house’s standard bearer and Dewydd and Annwyn's son. For an elf he is young, being under a hundred but what he lacks is years is made up for with his prowess in battle.

Olwyn Shadowfeather – Mage
Olwyn is Dewydd and Annwyn's daughter

Master Hadyn – Dragon Mage
Hadyn is Elwyn’s son and was sent to Hoeth to learn the ways of magic, but when he arrived he began to have strange dreams and found himself being drawn towards his father's home province of Caledor.

Mistress Morwyn Goldfeather – Mage
Morwyn is Elspeth and Siridean's daughter

Trystan Goldfeather – Lothern Sea Helm
Trystan is Elspeth and Dylan's son and is the Captain of House Shadowfeather's household guard.

Captain Rowena – Hand Maiden of the Everqueen
Rowena is an emissary of the Everqueen.

Mounts of House Shadowfeather
Nyoka
Nyoka is a Star dragon that Dewydd bonded with when he was young.

Nandalia
Nandalia is a Sun Dragon that Hadyn has had since it was a hatchling

Accalia
Elspeth's Griffin

Aryelle
Gwilym's Griffin

currently working on the write up (story version) of a game that I had over the weekend - in which my prince on star dragon survived against a unit of 20+ temple guard with an old blood and slann in the unit for approx. 3 full turns.
