Hello everyone,

To those of you unaware what a Druchii Among Us (DaU) is about I suggest reading this thread to get a feel DAU 9 please note though that there will be quite a few differences in this one, these are as follows:

1) Each player who signs up will get a unique character description, ie. I will write a small "role" for each and every single player in the DaU, just two-three lines including an ambition and a goal.

2) Each player will as a part of the above get one random rumour about another player, wich may or may not be true. The player who the rumour is about will know wether the rumour is true or not. The rumours will always be doubleedged, ie. both positive and negative.

3) The game will start at day, day will last 48 hours where everyone is free to roleplay and it is encouraged to start your intrigues there allready.

4) The period after each murder will have a limited time in wich you can decide, if you cannot decide I will pick a random who will die with the roll of a dice, if a vote has been cast it will be a simple majority desiscion of the votes cast. Not of the majority of the votes. ie. if there are twenty players and only three votes, then its the majority amongst the three that decides who dies. People who do not parttake will suffer accidents from the hosts side and will be removed from the game. This rule is included to get the pace up, and give people an excuse to talk, without voting or abstain from voting. As long as people do vote.

5) Who wins will be decided by two ways, one being if everyone can agree who inherits the late lord Saleiths estate (hah! Not with the character descriptions i'm going to write) or if all the assassins die, or if the assassins kill everyone else off.

Summa sumarum:
Much more RP, much more political backstabbing, much more murder amongst the players. Hopefully you will agree with me that more death, more blood and more RP will create more fun, we'll see!

Due to being inexperienced in this, lazy and uncreative there will be a limit to how many players i'll take. The game is scheduled to start on wednesday or thursday.

like the rumor idea. gives us something to ramble about on the first day instead of "i dont like you."

Frankly that would be funny because you'd never believe it. But I think RK is limiting the size to a dozen or so anyway.

The RP part of this DaU is what has me excited for it. I agree with Allerion that it should make the begining a lot more interesting. Assigning roles that have goals and motivations makes this a lot more in depth. I think that increasing the RP factor should make for a more involved game. I just hope there aren't 21 of us like last time. Around a dozen sounds better. My main hope for this is that all the players will be active and have fun and get involved.

it'll be limited in the number of players, both for the RP and to keep it quick and more interesting. I'm not interested in another DaU wich gets half-dead due to inactivity.

Also, i'm lazy and not willing to write 20+ character descriptions with unique goals and ambitions.

And just to be clear:

Unlike previous DAU's, -all- characters will have an active role in this DaU, there is no such thing as a player who "only" can accuse another player in this one.

The rules of the DaU is pretty simple:
Do not delete your posts
Do not edit your posts
Do not metagame etc.

You have participated in enough DaU's to know this, and I linked the previous DaU instead of just copy-pasting the rules. Sorry Allerion, you are modkilled.
