DAU 9 - Ulthuan in Flames (Sign Up & OOC) (Closed)

Hi everyone, it's me, the incumbent DAU host. I think with the campaign just ended its time to start kicking off a new DAU. Of course, with Ulthuan in Flames so recently ended, what better setting could we have then by having an Ulthuan in Flames DAU?

If you haven't played a DAU/mafia online game before please go to DAU 8 and read the first few posts to get a feel for the game.

Bob of Yvresse is acting as assistant GM. I make no suggestion as to how similar or different the roles will be to past games. If you are interested sign up in this thread. Once we have enough players and have set and assigned the roles we'll get started. Please note that who you were or what side you played in the campaign will not affect what role you may or may not get in this game.

I'll not be using my UiF character, as he doesn't fit the bill for it

though i wouldnt use my UiF character, since in his fluff he technically doesnt have free thought...

I hae never done anything like this before but it sounds interesting and I am willing to commit 100% to it. So I'm in. When do we start and you PM us before the game begins right? We are using UiF characters so is this located before or after the campaign for character fluff?

Updated the list, still room for 4-8 more people.

For clarity, you don't have to use your UiF character. In fact, since you might get assigned a role from another faction it's very unlikely you can. The only thing is that every "DAU" has a theme for the host to use for some in character posting. This time, Bob and I will be using UiF as that theme, and the roles will have UiF style to them. Nothing more so you don't have to come up with background.

One twist for this version is that Bob will be assigning all the roles and all the night time PM'ing will be handled by him. He will then give me only as many facts as are required for me to reveal in the daytime. I will do all the actual host posting. In this way neither Bob nor I will be able to reveal any meta game knowledge, he because he won't be posting, me because I won't know who has what role.

I do want to be clear for people who haven't done this before. This is NOT a RPG (well it is sort of, but RP-ness is the least important factor). What it is is an online version of the Mafia-style party game. I don't want anyone to be disappointed by expecting something this game is not.
