New feature : Uploading of images

#1 Post by Question »

Some forums allow uploading of images, is it possible for it to be turned on here? Would really help in uploading pictures of battle reports and the like.

You need to upload the image to a site like photobucket, and then put the url of the image between the url tags

NONONONO!

[img ]Direct image URL here[/img] putting it between [url] tags just makes the whole thing a hyperlink.

It'd be nice to be able to embed youtube videos.

No problem in using this topic as a test ground. I've fixed the image link for you. If you want to see what it looks like, click on the edit button of your post.

What I always do (when not using photobucket, which just supplies the IMG link, is right-click on the image and chose the option "copy image location". The URL this gives is generally the one that works in an IMG tag.

Thanks Rod. My issue is I'm doing this off iPad, so I can't just click to get the URL. Someone in another thread says there is an app for that (of course!) so I will give that a try, it's a lot if editing to get my link to match yours. Thank you!
