Dawn of a new age

#1 Post by Giladis »

Shields will be splintered, spears will be broken but Ulthuan will never fall...

As we hold our breath in the anticipation of the upcoming release of the new High Elf army book, we are aware of the responsibility we, as the preeminent High Elf community on the internet have. In the coming days we are expecting an upsurge in posts and membership. As such, we are calling upon all of you to help present the best possible picture of this site to the world. There will be a lot of new faces and many new topics to discuss.

We value the community we've built and we hope and expect that you'll respect that. Unfortunately, we have lately seen a selection of posts that do not conform to the standards we are used to. In order to show the wider audience we are just as civilized and well mannered as our Asur alter egos, we kindly ask you to post in a helpful and friendly manner so everybody can feel at home at Ulthuan.net.

Equally excited as you,
The Loremasters and Heralds

Old face here. Can't wait to try out the new book. Maybe I can be one to put forth some advice this time around instead of stealing from everyone else

Ancient face here.
Got the book yesterday, let's get these soldiers some spears!
Look and see the sky turn red.
Like blood, it covers over me.
And soon the sea shall give up her dead.
We'll raise an empire from the bottom of the sea.

As a new player to the HE and to WH 8th edition after a long absence due to career and kids, I thank you for an excellent site to help out those in the same situation as myself.

And thank you in advance for your patience with my questions and posts.

I will strive leave my previously villanous and barbaric ways behind me.

Well, I've been playing High Elves since I started playing Fantasy. I finally decided to join since the new book came out. I can't wait to see the new tactics that we can do with our new options and how we adapt to losing some older options.

Maybe it would be nice if the tactical section at the front page of the site got an update with the new 8th edition tactics discussed here on the forum (8th edition in this case also meaning the 8th edition army book, not just the 8th edition rule book)

Just an idea though, I know I'd definately be to lazy to bother
