Everytime I've tried to upload an image for the avatar it fails, even though it is within the size limits.

One where the whole site is ad-free and completely run by volunteers? Bandwidth (and even storage) for 15.528 members is expensive enough when you have to pay for it yourself without getting anything in return...

I wouldn't actually mind an advertisment banner if it would help the site. The Underempire has one, I hardly notice it anymore.

I knew what was going on. I just thought I was being funny...

In all seriousness though. Wow! 15,000+ members! We have a great community here and sometimes I don't think we give the mods and editors who keep it all going enough credit.
