Re: Dark Elf Rumours

Anybody else notice the absence of the Dark Riders from the DE army list? Oversight by the web team, or are they gone? Correction anybody else notice that there are no horses at all in the DE army now? Or chariots? Three dual kits will be released next month with Dark Riders/Warlocks, the Chariots,...

Re: skycutter

...one suggestion; try out with blue-tac first. :) Good idea, blue-tac has about the consistency of 60% yellow to 40% blue greenstuff mixture. Sticky but not to sticky, and roughly the same texture. Though I think blue-tac has a bit more elasticity, it would give you a hands on technical practice a...

Ive never used greenstuff but my freinds have so ill get them to help.are green stuff flames hard.I was thinking of a frost pheonix but thay would be too big fluff wise i think. Re: Ptolemy's New HEs - WIP Cavalry Prince (Freehand Update)

That is actually a very interesting color. Do you think the darker, richer purple would avoid getting lost on the lilac armor piece on the helm? - What do you all think for the jade guantlet on his left hand. I was considering a honey colored (amberish) gem there but am I introducing too many color...

Re: Ptolemy's New HEs - WIP Cavalry Prince (Freehand Update)

Any suggestions on gem color for the rider himself? Galharen mentioned red but Im hesitant to wander into warm tones. Thoughts? The colours (deep purples) in the sphere of the Tetto'eko might look nice with the excellent painting you have done. Just a thought, though. http://www.games-workshop.com/...

Re: Prince Tûrion Rilyalocë and the Golden Drake Laurëdrauginir

=D> Fantastic, the colours are excellent. I've been watching your log here for a long time and it's nice to see the model turned out so nicely. That dragon would look at home in a Wood elf army as well, i know one wood elf player who would be envious to see this. Scale work along the back turned out...

Re: Painted High Elf Lord

Love the look of the model, your scenery is awesome too. I like the look of armour. I am currently facing the same problem with the same shield... just don't know what to do with it. With the colour you have there, what about free handing some tail feathers from the phoenix, having it run down the s...

Re: New Lizardmen pics

I think there is just a lot of anxiety within the Lizard community about the change in dynamic for the army. I recall similar responses when the HE book was fast approaching. Personally I look forward to the dynamic changes the new book brings, but then I enjoy adapting new methods and dynamic shift...

Re: Converting my CMON Eagle into a firephoenix? yes/no?

I say do it. If so many are opposed to it it must be a good idea  Really it will make for a unique Phoenix, especially since it may be madness to convert such a beautiful model so few would do it

Re: Caledor army - tommyki's plog

Excellent, I think it would look pretty good with some type of dragon pulling it. For bits that may add to the Caledorian feel, the dragon/serpent pits from the spearmen kit might add a touch to the ship. I love seeing themes progress so I will be watching this space with interest =D>

Re: New Lizardmen pics

Those are some seriously cool models. What is the verdict on the powerlevel of the LM magic phase? Did they lose as much of it as we did? They had some seriously strong items/abilities. What happened to them? Rod No official word yet as the book is not available. I play Lizards as one of my other a...

Re: Caledor army - tommyki's plog

Very very pretty. My recommendation as a fellow Caledorian Army owner. Get a bunch of Dragon Prince heads, you're going to need them for converting up people who are too obviously from other provinces. Agreed. And though it may be a little late but a sky cutter pulled by one Asarion's conversion dr...

Re: Now, tell me about all the good things about SW

I've just ordered some old glade guard models I was planning to use as my sisters of avelorn (the oldschools ones with cool hoods), was considering also trying them as a unit of 6 shadow warriors with a reaver bow champ. The reaver bows shots would help make them more scary to warmachines I think. ...

Though working something in that is not a Flamespyre does present a fluff/modelling challenge This is the potential problem. Cause I even briefly went "Oh! I could put a fire elemental in and make it my Flamespyre" but I feel there again a Fire Elemental doesn't have a place in an Avelorn...

Re: Reavers? Still old models :-(

They're still there on the UK site. Maybe it's a local stock problem? It could be a Canadian stock issue, however usually I see an "unavailable" beside the quantity section when you try to order them. I had my hopes up due to the new Lizards coming out next month. Having noticed a trend t...

Re: Use in a High Elf Army

I don't know, forest fires are a natural order necessary for the regenerative aspects of nature. Part of the rebirth... very akin to phoenix symbolism, so I don't really see a problem with fire in an Avalorn list. Though working something in that is not a Flamespyre does present a fluff/modelling ch...
