Re: I need help with Fluff, Army Scheme, and Color Pattern
I use Light Armour on my Archers for fluff reasons, but unless you have those then I'd drop it. The War Machines seem a little cumbersome for the theme you have going on here, but... I can see you're doing a shooty thing. What is the fluff question (that Mage is an awesome model if it's the one I'm ...

Very Nice. I like the addition of a bit of colour on an otherwise banal colour scheme.

Re: Daemon Prince
The Elves are more psychically sensitive, so if anything, they would be easier to possess. But then again, the amount of mental wards the societies of all three factions put in place would make it quite hard to gain control initially. Could we regard Malekith as a kind of reverse Daemon Prince? He h...

Re: High Elf Lord on Wyvern.
Although Wyvverns are mean-spirited creatures, there's no reason a tough Prince should not attempt to saddle one up. As Griffons demonstrate, there's no need for all Elf steeds to by hyperintelligent.

Decapitating Eltharion
A conversion pitch: I'm planning to convert Celedrin, the Swordmaster mentioned as one of the few Elves who was both named and alive during the time of Morvael's Punitive Expedition to Naggaroth. From the fluff, I'm imagining a pretty ruthless, murderous zen assassin, a bit darker than the usual sha...

Re: Bound for Naggaroth
That's actually the old Elf Ranger model from Warhammer Quest. They used to put 'em in command blisters before the days of multi-part plastics. Very good models by today's standards, let alone for their time. Thanks for the ideas on Regimental names. That's actually quite good. Looks like this regim...

Re: Dragon Princes as individuals?
Here's another idea: stick to the same palette as you do for the other troops, but alternate colours between models: so have one Prince with silver mail and gold trim, and reverse it for the next one, switch around metals on helmet, torso, legs etc. Or... Use the same armour, weapons colours as the ...

There are some interesting conversions in there that it would be nice to see in detail.

Re: Help me choose a complimentary force?
The Daemon army is pretty overpowered. Horde armies can make a real mes of it, but the Asur don't have so much of that. Our elite troops can go toe-to-toe with regular Daemon packs, but shooting is pretty ineffective and Isha help you if they slam a spear line. You could, in theory, take a 1k army w...

What's your current army theme? Or fluff? That will help us to figure it out.
I'd go with a horde army. It will make a break with the Elven habit of putting down too few troops on the table.

Re: And an other question regarding the Everqueen
Elves don't really need to 'extend the line'. I imagine younger daughters from a single Everqueen would function as Crown Princesses and Courtesans to the Everqueen (possibly Maiden Guard). No doubt they would take an active part in the politicking of the realm. I can see a few plays in this...

Here's the reason Assault on Naggaroth hasn't been updated recently. Just finished the first unit of the army that said fluff was supposed to back up. Re: Seredain's 2nd 7th Revision - Shiny New and Playtested
Some of the special rules connected with the White Lions are exceptionally complex and unnecessary. The +1 Ld for the Army General is enough. I don't know why you did what you did with the Tiranoc Chariots. That seemed unnecessary, unless you think that the crew are too ineffective on the charge. Dr...

I've traditionally used Bleached Bone with a highlight of Skull White. Fairly banal - if you want something more sophisticated then maybe follow skull white with some kind of flesh wash.
Hopefully someone with a lot more experience than I can help now I've got your thread back up.

Re: Dragons Bother Me
I agree with the 'no dragon' aesthetic, my army does have a lot of flying Eagles and a Griffon-mounted Prince for fluff reasons, but unless I wanted a 'War of the Beard' expansion I wouldn't put down a dragon. Fluff-based play is a lot more fun. I've become quite enamoured of the 'glittering ranks o...

Re: Some changes I would like to add to current High Elves.
I'm against any rules which make our army more powerful than the book has it. We need to bring overpowered armies down, not mid-range powers up. HE are tough as it is, and magic items are fine provided you use 'em tactically. The Foe Bane, for example, negates the need for strength provided you're f...

Re: Saphery Wizard-Princes
Yes, many young nobles do train as Mages - not always at the White Tower (which I believe is a little like the Oxbridge of Ulthuan) but sometimes in Avelorn, or the Great Lighthouse of Lothern, with the Annuli plains as a 'proving ground'. In Saphery I suppose there would be more of an emphasis on M...

Nicely done, old boy. A very fine piece of engineering.
I'm looking to expand into a second unit of White Lions, if I do end up making them (liking the Corsair idea) in plastic then I shall post them up here.

Evening, All... Just wondering what the current consensus was on the appearance of the Phoenix Crown. I'm sure there was a thread on this subject a few months back, but I can't for the life of me find it, so I'll ask myself! Does the house believe that the sketch in the new AB is an accurate represe...
